Marvellous version
What I like about this version is the leads, the female lead in particular. It's seldom nowadays that you get a really good young female actor. She is so good and so convincing in this role. I enjoyed it immensely and it kept me engaged all the way through. Every version is a different take on the original but this one, even though it took licence, was good and added a contemporary edge to it.What I like about this version is the leads, the female lead in particular. Great DVD to watch over and over again.
Read the book and loved it. Bought the DVD and found it an accurate version and Toby Stevens and Ruth Wilson played their parts to perfection. I also bought the DVD with Kieren Hynd and Samantha Morton as the main characters (which is harder to find) and although it has a shorter playing time felt that it had more feeling as "jane Eyre" speaks to you about her feelings, keeping you involved in the story. If you want a "softer" version of Rochester watch this one, if you want to watch what I think is the correct version of Rochester - that has to go to Kieren Hynd.Read the book and loved it. Jane Eyre DVD
I bought this DVD for my daughter who has just started studying English A Level. Jane Eyre is one of the books she is studying and I remember seeing this on television when it came out. Thought it would be a good idea for her to watch it to get the gist of the story. Very good adaptation although there is a lot missing that is in the book - but then that's always the case. The sort of DVD I would watch again on a rainy afternoon.I bought this DVD for my daughter who has just started studying English A Level. good delvery time and the product was first class
I bought this for my daughter and she loved it,though,I must admit it is not my cup of tea.As it was a gift I cannot explain the nature and quality of thedisc,even though others hve a good laugh that I do not know the story of Jane Eyre.
