    Talk About Good !!!

    I am over the moon to have managed to get a hold of this book. As a lover of Louisiana style cooking, I have had the opportunity to try a number of dishes from this book as a friend brought it across from America for his use, and they are absolutely divine, hence my joy at obtaining a copy of my own. My favourite has to be the Gumbo I think, or maybe the Jambalaya...or... well, it is almost impossible to pick a a favourite here The book contains tried and tested old family recipes, compiled by the Junior League of Lafayette Louisiana, easy to follow instructions and clear down to earth language for us mere mortals who aspire to greater things in the kitchen. I can promise you that this is a cookbook that will make your friends and family stand up and take notice of your meals, the quality ...

    THE "MUST HAVE" CAJUN COOKBOOK

    As a former manager of the New Orleans School of Cooking in New Orleans, thousands and thousands of visitors would ask me what was the best cajun cookbook and every single time I would put, "Talk About Good" The Lafayette, Louisiana Junior League's Cookbook in their hands. Of course, I owned it too! After Katrina and a new life in Texas it came time to replace my cookbooks and the absolute first one I bought was....you guessed it....TALK ABOUT GOOD!!! Texans are as picky about their BBQ as New Orleans is about their cajun food --what fun to bring a whole lot of fun this way by using this great cookbook. And, of course, it is a great read!!!     True Southern Louisianian Cusine

    I Lost my original copy several years ago during the major moves I had made around the U.S. I am now in my last home and can actually start cooking again. I could not remember my receipe for Roquefort Dressing, but I remebered the cookbook I got it out of...I was thrilled to see it on Ebay and the price was fantastic. This cookbook has authentic South Louisiana receipes from authentic French, Spanish German heritage Cajuns. This cookbook is from the Late 1960's before Cajun cusine began widely known

    The Louisiana cookbook you should NOT be caught without!

    This cookbook is the Louisiana "Joy of Cooking". No self respecting LA kitchen gets it's start without one. It teaches the basics through the advanced and will take you throughout a lifetime of great meals. I have referenced mine innumerable times over the last 35 years. I purchased this as a gift for friends who enjoy going to New Orleans to eat and also like trying their hand at replicating their experience. I hope they enjoy testing it out as much as I enjoyed giving it.

    Some really great Southern recipes

    I was looking for a recipe for what remembered as "Spanish Rice"....I found the exact same thing listed as Texas Hash.. What a great find.
