IOGEAR MiniView (GCS1644) 4-Ports External KVM Switch combines IOGEAR’s DynaSync with the widescreen graphic resolution of today’s thirty-plus-inch monitors, supporting DualView/Dual-Link DVI, 2560x1600 resolution, and 3-D graphics. Two DualView/Dual-Link display computers can be accessed and controlled from a single IOGEAR MiniView (GCS1644) 4-Ports External KVM Switch running dual displays. If you need even more display functionality, then connect two IOGEAR MiniView 4-Port External KVM Switches together and have a quad-type view console consisting of a keyboard, mouse, and four monitors. The IOGEAR MiniView (GCS1644) 4-Port External KVM Switch also features two USB peripheral ports for asynchronously sharing USB devices between your computers. A powered USB hub may be attached to the peripheral ports so users can share printers, external hard drives, and more.     A nice piece of kit doing exactly what it should

    I just got this new, but from a user that didn't want it. Its the only one I've found on the market that is small enough to fit on my desk, neat enough to conceal all the cables (though with 10 x DVI cables, USB cables and audio cables, realistically there is only so much space for cables). I plugged it into my first computer and it 'just worked' and i'm not a standarfd windows user, I have Linux systems, Sun keyboard and mice, and mismatched monitors, but everything worked just fine first time. I've had KVM's before where there was a magic power-on/plug-in sequence required to get things working and my Sun keyboard/Mouse have always been a little bit of an issue (mouse plugs into a USB 1.1 hub built into the keyboard and then just the keyboard plugs into the KVM) but this just ...

    Great value and excellent product

    I bought two of these units used with DCC ports and they work great! I contacted Iogear to ask if the could be rack mounted and to see if I could order rack mount ears; not only that you can rack mount them but Larry in tech support sent me two sets of rack ears for free with the shipping included!! So far these work great. I even use a Matrox DualHead2Go to split one of my video outs from my Mac Pro 5,1 into two outputs and it all works as it should. One thing is that, if the units is set up far from your keyboard and mouse (more than the standard six feet away), I would recommend using active USB extension cables as the keyboard sometimes loses connection. Once the active extensions are used, it all works as intended.

    Best switch I found! (and a great deal when found cheap.)

    Great switch form multiple monitor setups. With converters can do most monitors (d-sub, DVI, HDMI, display port.) Have not tested 4k. If it has a DCC port it switches up to 4 monitors. The special cables are nice but not required. Do need a power supply. Has sometimes problems with newer keyboards that will make the keyboard short cuts hard. Buttons always work.

    Great Product.

    Great product. specially with the ability to use two together to have a quad monitor capabilities. They are small in size and fit well under or on top of a desk.

    Great Product

    Works great with DP to DVI cables, actually can pass through my gaming mouse (need to disable mouse emulation on the KVM for it to do this) and just 100% no issues with the switch. The only odd thing is that mine came with "dust plugs" for the audio ports are in super tight, and needed to be pryed out.
