  • Great Form and Function!

Despite being released over three years ago, the Palm Tungsten T|3 is still a very capable PDA. With its slider design and metal casing it looks sleek and elegant while being sturdy and well made. Its screen is both bright and large, with its innovative slider, virtual graffiti area and landscape mode. It also is coupled with a fast processor and 64 mB of memory which is sufficient for most users. Heavy users will like the SD/SDIO card slot for expansion of memory and function. In day to day use its included Personal Information Management (PIM) applications are very easy to use. For example its Calendar, Contacts list, Memos and Notepad are simple and can be tailor to your preferences. Also included is a Voice Recorder for taking dictation or recording personal thoughts. Its beautiful ...

  • Tungsten T3 review

Bought it because I wanted to try a newer Palm PDA. Operates very fast, much more so than my Visor Prism (almost too fast with things like Memo pad). Good color on screen, good detail, larger font on the home screen than with Windows Mobile. Easy to xfer files from my Visor to the T3. Will sync with Windows XP, Windows 7, Mac OS Leopard. Has standard 3.5mm headphone jack, Realplayer is included, and it reads regular MP3s. Bluetooth works. You can sync it to a phone and use it as a dialer, as it has a built in microphone and speaker. It has the slide down screen which, depending upon the function or program, gives you more screen space, or gives you a keyboard or the scratch pad. The midcaps hack from earlier days is integrated into Graffiti 2, but some of the letters now require ...

  • Buy one and love it!

Actually the reason I bought this is funny, or unusual at least. I bought a Bible program at auction, and found when I got it that it was for a Palm operating system. I already had 2 older Palms but they ran on version 4 operating system and the Bible program required OS 5. I couldn't afford much so I went looking on eBay again for a Palm with OS 5 and found this one. I knew it had a bad battery as stated in the description, but figured I could fix that ok. What a job that was!! But I did get a new battery in it and was able to get the Bible program all loaded into it. I know everyone uses a phone for just about everything now, including to find their way to the bathroom via a GPS, but this Palm T3 is really neat. You can load a ton of stuff into it. And it has a wonderful display. I am ...

  • Great product but "Old School"

I purchased the Palm T3 for my wife to be used as an address book. We are one of the few not using cell phones and I saw this product, used, on ebay. The PALM was an excellent product during it's day, but cell phones made them "old school". For our use, it's fine. It's easy to add names, especially using our computer to input the information and then transmitting it to the PALM via bluetooth or, easier yet, the USB cable. The software included was dated and would not work on my computer using Windows 7. Since I have the "Professional" version, I was able to download "Windows XP Mode" from Microsoft, at no charge, and the Palm program works great. Perhaps the software with a new Palm T3 is a later version. PALM.Com no longer works and it seems that HP now offers limited support for ...

  • Palm Tungsten T3: Good overall Palm PDA

Well, This is the better of two Palm PDA's I have owned. There's not much to say about it, really. It goes fast, it has a good internal storage capacity. One of the things I like most about it is the taskbar at the bottom of the screen. I can just glance down there to see the time, I can switch between applications, and there's quick access to the volume modes and brightness setting. One downside of this device is it has a poor battery life. It carries the same battery as the Palm Tungsten T2, which is a 900Mah battery. However, the faster processor causes an extra strain on the battery. Some people remedy this by just installing a bigger battery. I suggest downloading a free application that help you to get more battery life out of this. This is PXA Clocker, to under-clock the CPU so it ...
