À propos de ce produit

Product Information

Arising from the same unholy concoction as its immediate predecessor in the series, Resident Evil 5 looks like a third-person shooter, plays like a first-person shooter, and feels like a survival-horror game. As in the acclaimed Resident Evil 4, an up-close, over-the-shoulder perspective allows players to see the heroes in action. Accessible aiming controls and fluid graphics make for quick, intuitive weapon use. Creepy settings, un-human enemies, and keen pacing create experiences of tense exploration, startling surprise, and overwhelmingly outnumbered desperation. The game presents its horrors in high-definition, built on a custom-enhanced version of Capcom's MT Framework game engine, and PC gamers can experience stereoscopic 3D effects (with the proper eyewear).

The story takes place in Africa, in the fictional desert country of Kijuju. The game is set about a ten years after the events of the original Resident Evil, and features the original game's character Chris Redfield in the lead role. He is accompanied by a skilled mercenary named Sheva Alomar. The two make a good team, and many of the most challenging situations in the game are best overcome with teamwork. When one of the two characters has been subdued or wounded, the other can "help" or "heal" with the press of a button. Other circumstances call for particular solutions, such as one player drawing enemies out of cover while the other picks them off with rifle shots from a safer location.

Both characters are agents of a international group known as the Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance (or BSAA), on a mission to investigate the origins of the nefarious Tyrant virus, variants of which have been responsible for turning ordinary people and animals into mindless, zombie-like killing machines throughout the Resident Evil series. The game's levels are a mix of spooky, scripted runs and open-ended battles that develop dynamically. Although facing surprise attacks and overwhelming odds, a run-and-gun approach won't last; it takes situational tactics and good ammo management to make it through each stage. Online multiplayer co-op is available throughout the game, in which one player controls Chris and the other controls Sheva.

Avis les plus pertinents

  • Visually better than the console version!

Capcom did an OUTSTANDING job on porting this over to the PC. With the right PC setup, there were no frame rate issues, visual qualities looks equivalent if not better than the console version, 3D viewing feature (with right equipment and if you like that stuff), and mouse & keyboard controls are optimized for perfect gameplay. If anyone has played RE4 for PC, Capcom has learned its lesson on that poor port over and did a completely new overhaul from scratch. The only downside to the PC version is the DLC. There hasn't been one out yet, nor do I think there will be at all. Other than that, this is well worth the money if you can get a good deal on it. If you ask me, I strongly believe charging $65 retail for any game is highway robbery. Whatever happened to the $50 days???

  • no more zombies...

Beautifully detailed graphics and character animations, game mechanics may take some getting use to but once you do its great (mouse control is great, with a controller really sucks) and this can no longer be considered a survival horror game it has greatly departed from the original that could scare you into droping the controller, replay value very high.. an awesome game you can enjoy over and over...

  • RESIDENT EVIL 5

THE USER CONTROLLERS LIKE MOUSE AND KEYBOARD ARE LITTLE TOO HARD TO WORK AGAINST HORDES OF MUTATED ZOMBIES WHICH WERE SOME OF THE COMPLAINTS THAT I HAD FOR THIS GAME AND SOME REASON MY XBOX 360 CONTROLLER WASN'T WORKING PROPERLY LIKE THE LEFT STICK FOR MOVEMENT. BUT THEN AGAIN I DIDN'T GET FAR ENOUGH TO PROPERLY EVALUATE THIS GAME CORRECTLY. THE GRAPHIC WERE DECENT ENOUGH I'M A LITTLE DISAPPOINTED THAT I DIDN'T GET THIS GAME ON A XBOX 360 CONSOLE

  • Remember to eat and go to the bathroom.

This game will glue you to the chair! Storyline is wonderful, very addictive. Graphics are amazing, excellent engine keeps frames over 60fps with maxed out, DX10, quality settings on a GTX285. Action packed, gore fest extravaganza. Weapons are a treat, sound design is creepy as hell. Get it now! PS: You're welcome.

  • Best Version of RE5 by far. Nvidia Physx & 3D Most cool

Got NVIDIA 3D? I do. I got NVIDIA GTX 275. This game I played first on PS3. So I can say the PC version here is the best one. From smoke effects and dirt road effects from the first level to 3D depth added, this game totally gets my most highest rating of all the RE5 games. Hands down the PC version is best. NVIDIA should rock 3D in every new game and kick every but. I dig it.
