Starting out in the 1950s as typical gangster crime dramas, '60s and '70s lucha libre employed increasingly outlandish storylines involving supernatural foes like aliens, mummies, and zombies. A fun mix of sci-fi, horror, comedy, action, and suspense, this campy doubleheader from the golden age of '70s lucha libre features some of the genre's biggest stars, including El Santo, Blue Demon, Mil Mascaras, Superzan, and El Rayo de Jalisco: EL TRIUNFO DE LOS CAMPEONES JUSTICIEROS (1974) and UNA ROSA SOBRE EL RING (1973).

Terrible film and credible drama.
EL TRIUNFO DE LOS CAMPEONES JUSTICIEROS, is a terrible flick. The story tired and already done, the wrestling is average and the movie is so badly done as to be laughable. The film was made in and around a television tower, and a lot of the time everybody is climbing it. BlueDemon is his usual good wrestler, there are a couple of other wrestlers who we don't know who they are. This a convoluted mess hardly worth the time. UNA ROSA SOBRE EL RING has good intentions, with an interesting plot and interesting development. No zombies or midgets from outer space, rather the struggle of working wrestlers and the tragedy if they die in the ring. The story develops well, if overdramatized, and Mil Mascaras shows up in time to defeat the hero. Mil Mascaras is like the hero that shows up, ... The story revolves around a kid, wrestling and tragedy. It is emotionally unsatisfying in the hero being defeated by Mil Mascaras, even though he's trying to do the right thing. It is an odd drama, but unlike the first movie, this one is at least worth the time.
