This is a MUST read!!! It is a fast paced page turner!!! It will rekindle the hope we have in Christ to overcome impossible barriers. I was about to stop a particular project and I read this on a fluke. It is seeing a need and having the courage to step up and DO. After reading this I did not quit and am so happy for the further adventure! It is about starting with nothing, except desire to serve and how God turns your desire into a hop, leap and soaring on the heights of an awesome perfect God who turns improbable, impossible situations into bountiful blessings. Your heart for Jesus and for others to know His love and your desire to serve is all that is needed. Wow! God is at work today, How do we see more of this?
I am heading to New York soon for a conference at the Brooklyn Tabernacle and wanted to pick up a book so I would know a little more about where I was going and the people that run the Brooklyn Tabernacle. I was amazed at the stories behind this great body of Christ. How when people come together and cry out to God, God can and will do more than we can imagine. You will get amazing insight into what we need to do here in America to see more of God manafest presence as well as God's desire to be our God as we are his people. You'll read amazing stories of people who have been saved in every sense of the word. Jesus Christ does save today! And the Holy Spirit might be the most ignored person in the church today. You will be amazed at what can happen when ordinary people cry out for ... Awesome book to let God speak to you through
The thing that I received from this book was that the church needs to be reinvented to become a house of prayer instead of a house of preaching, worship, or anything else. We have, since reading this book strived to do just that. Focus on the needs of the people. Prayer until we have prayed through for those needs. Taking the focus off the preaching and worship. Instead using them as a complement to prayer. The result is that the worship team sings more. The sermon is more spontaneous and focused. Don't miss out on the remaining books in this series. Powerful and life changing
This book is the most powerful book on the power of prayer, Jim Cymbala's story is an inspiration on how our every day lives are transformed by the power of prayer. If you are someone you know is struggling from drug addiction...check this out, this is my son's story. We struggled eight years with his drug addition, never thinking he was an addict and after he tryed to take his life several times and we tried to make it better our way, finally hopeless we turned to God and he was waiting with open arms. Moms and Dads God has given us our children but they are his...don't loose hope. Prayer can change your life!
I read the book Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire and it was wonderful. We are buying extra books for each member in our Bible Study Group or church member. The Lord tells us he is always near and all we have to do is call on him. Most of us do not pray enough. After reading this book, I realized my prayer life could be so much different. I would recommend this book to everyone who would like to see how our God moves when we apply pray to our lives.I read the book Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire and it was wonderful.
