This book like all Osprey Men at arms books is fantastic
This book by Nick Sekunda gives you the information in a nut shell on how life was in the Republican Roman Army from 200 BC to 104 BC a period of 100+ years. How the armor went from leather to chain mail & leather and bronze plate. It also shows how the weapons changed as well. It well worth a read. You can find better books on this subject at fifty times the cost that can bog you down with way to much info while the men at arms series can give it to you with out all the extras. I would highly recommend this book and any of the others of the Men at arms series to every one that wants to know how warriors fought from 1000 BC to 2012 AD.
