  • If you missed them when they were new, now is your chance!

This is a fantastic little PDA! Nice concept really, PDA's don't exist anymore, or they like to think phones have taken the place of them. To a certain degree they have, but this PDA is not your average PDA. It has something called "quick memo" that allows you to write your own notes and save them. Just like an electronic sticky pad. What you write is what you see and keep. It doesn't try and interpret what you write, it just saves what you do. Very handy. If you have an old Windows 98 computer laying around, these will sync with Windows 98 and store many notes, or type out address, database, etc and transfer them to your awsome PDA. The Casio runs on 2 AAA batteries that last for months, even with everyday use, unreal because I have to charge my phone twice a day. These are great, and ...

  • Casio Pocket Viewer PV 400 Plus

In my humble opinion, dollar for dollar, this is the best PDA ever made. Batteries are replaceable and last almost a year (with moderate use). Synchs with Outlook 97 or 2000. Uses flash memory so you won't lose your data. Not a lot of bells and whistles, but very light weight and practical. Even though I own a color pda that does a lot more...this is the one I actually take with me. Great in bright light...it also has a good back light. But if you use a pda in poor lighting a lot, then you should go with a color pda. Don't know if it is compatible with OS other than 98 or ME. Somewhat steep learning curve for synching. But it can be done. Don't get the newer "S" model...which "steals" memory for use with an excel program that is not very good.

  • Casio PV- The ultimate programmable calculator?

To say I'm bias about these PVs is an understatement, I've got about 10 of them, from 460s to 1600s. They cost shirt buttons and yet because the chip is an intel 80186 clone they can be a BASIC computer, like the old BBC micro. With the right software they are actually programmable BASIC handhelds. You can get the owbasic software here http://www.audacia-software.de/en/pv/owbasic/index.htm Load it up and voilla, you now have one of the best programmable handheld calculators ever created, plus you can also manipulate text and graphics with the OWbasic command set, something you can't do with a calculator. http://www.audacia-software.de/files/en/owbasic/html/owb_e_ndx.html Combined with up to 16MB of text memory the only real limits for a user are the speed of the 20MHZ microchip and the ...

  • Casio PV400 plus

I am a pda "buff". In my humble opinion, the Casio PV400 plus is the best "compromise" of features ever. It has replaceable batteries (AAA) that last almost a year. It uses flash memory so you won't lose the data. It synchs with outlook (97, 2000...can't speak for other versions). And it is CHEAP...so if you break or lose it...SO WHAT !! I own fancier, color pdas...but not BETTER pdas. I prefer it to the newer PV400S model because the newer model "steals" part of the memory for useless programs like a version of excel that doesn't work very well. Also I don't like the removeable screen protector on the newer model.

  • Stay - Get Organized

I previously owned the smaller Casio model PV 200. When I wore it out, I decided to "step up" to a Palm. Even though the Palm was more expensive it didn't do much more than the less expensive Casio. As a matter of fact the Casio is easier to use than the Palm and has certain features (backlight) that the Palm doesn't have. This time I bought the larger (more memory) PV-400 Plus. I love it and can't get along without it. Good Price, Great Value, and Very Useful.
