Be careful the seller is a rip-off. First I order a Richo Theta S Digital camera but instead, he sent me a Coolshot 50i. [Golf range finder]. I returned the Coolshot with a return receipt. They have not sent the correct item nor have they returned my money. They claim that they can' locate the purchase order nor the returned Coolshot. I will now report this seller to the ripoff web site.

Easy to use and reliable, but the image quality is... medium
Theta S is very easy tu use, small, ergonomic 360 camera. You do not need to be a specialist, after you understand the basics you're able to shoot whatever you want. The app that u're using to edit the movies after are also easy to use, and then you can publish very easily on Facebook or Youtube. The bad thing is that the image quality is not so good. After you edit and upload it, the image is missing sharf, it's somehow a bit blurry and pixelate. Of course, I'm using it, my viewers are happy to see what I shoot in 360, but I know the image could be better. Great for photos, No-so for video
Great photo camera. A lot of controllable settings. Good quality. Video camera: Not so great. 1080p in VR looks like Standard Def. There are no manual settings. The stitch between lenses can be obvious (depending on lighting). No SD card slot, you have to import through USB. App is decent.

The most difficult part of enjoying this product is accepting that it WORKS! In a snap it takes a complete 360 degree photo, or movie. Up, down, left, right, back and front. Amazing. The pictures are not as sharp as a nice camera, but they are very good. It is fun. Looking at pictures requires a little planning, i.e. through their app on your phone is easy, on Facebook, etc. But on a phone without their app the picture is not a virtual 360. I guess the biggest issue is the time required to upload pictures from the camera to your phone over wifi. It's not bad but it is a step and takes some time. Excellent Gadget for the Price
For anyone interested in this item, be sure to upgrade the firmware to the latest version and shoot in HDR mode. Only then can you make a fair judgement on the quality of images. I'm selling it as it doesn't compare to professional DSLR panoramas that are captured with multiple RAW image shots. Shooting a large tour with this unit is a cost effective way to fill many needs. It's an excellent gadget for the price and for what it does. It's not good for Street View, which is why I'm selling mine.For anyone interested in this item, be sure to upgrade the firmware to the latest version and shoot in HDR mode. Good camera, still worth the discounted price in 2022
Nice camera that gets cool 360 stills, video and time lapse. But RICOH does not support anymore with updates. Takes a little time to learn how to use (with the THEAT app), and edit (in the THETA+ app). But once you figure it out, you get nice effects from this little camera.
