À propos de ce produit

Product Information

This full-length Batman movie was unleashed during the height of the television show's popularity in 1966, taking America to dizzying levels of superhero camp it had never before experienced. In stark contrast with the many dark and gritty incarnations of Batman, the film features all four of the famous crime fighter's most dastardly and cunning adversaries--the Penguin, the Joker, the Riddler, and Catwoman--joining forces to take over the world thanks to a De-Hydrator that turns people into piles of dust. The Caped Crusader and his trusty sidekick Robin pull out all the stops to thwart the bad guys, even if it means a BIFF! or a KA-POW! Before Keaton, before Bale, Adam West was...Batman.

  • The way I remember it...

I'd like to say my rating "good" reflects when I saw this movie as a kid, many years ago. It was "silly" even back then, but that was the way comic books and superheroes were seen. They didn't exist in the real world; they couldn't have. This movie is made with that mind set and definitely shows it. It was made to be fun and silly and anyone who doesn't like it for "being too fake" obviously has no idea what this movie was about. It was made in 1966 and I grew up seeing it on weekend afternoon TV. This and the TV show is how I remember Batman as a kid. And I'm sure many older fans do also.

  • The Cheesiest

This campy film is absolutely entertaining to watch. The portrayal of Batman and Robin as well as the villains Joker, Riddler and Cat Woman are just so corny but that's a good thing. When I was a little I idolized Batman as a heroic figure while I couldn't understand why my parents were laughing. Now I understand the silliness or campiness of it all. A fun night in front of the home screen to be sure and I may watch it more than once.

  • A Delightfully Fun Tribute to DC's Silver Age

If you are a fan of fun, adventure, and action, then this is the film for you! Taking Batman back to his silly, Silver Age roots, this full length feature film has plenty of interesting tidbits and extra's from two of the original cast members of the 1960's Batman TV show. The movie itself is excellent, with the bold colors being formatted to fit any screen. The extras are even better, providing a lively commentary from cast members Adam West and Burt Ward, it's almost as if you're watching the movie with them in your living room! Without a doubt, a must have for fans of the Batman character, or just good ol camp fun in general.

  • batman in the bronx '66

back in 1966 when i was 7, i went to see this with my friend mike, it was the summer hit for us kids. my older sister brought us to the theatre and said batman will be there with his car. he wasn't, but i wasn't dissapointed, even at tht age, while believing he would be there. thats because of the movie. i like almost everything about it. from the color to the camera angles & production, to the true to comic book effects. to me it was like a greatest hits version of the tv show. featuring a variey of villians and bat gadgets. its ok for anyone any age, best for that 6 to 10 yr old age. it's very 60's and it is only what it is. you can't compare it to a movie from another era. ( also, unlike the later versions of batman movies i've seen starting in 89, it didn't include a real life shooting ...

  • You can't go wrong with the classics and the original Batman is a classic!

My family and I really liked the movie. We just started watching the original Batman series episodes every Saturday night on METV, so when I saw this for sale we just had to get it! It's very much like the series - classic humor and villian-fighting. Plus the bonus features were great! It was real interesting to hear behind the scenes info about the movie, characters, and the Batmobile. My kids got a kick out of seeing Batman and Robin looking much older! I didn't watch the movie with them narrating it but the rest of it was fine and I didn't find anything offensive or inappropriate.(We usually stick with movies rated G so I wanted to watch this one first.)It was a little long for my four year old twins but we had a brief intermission and they were fine! My son who is a new Batman fan ...
