In the fourth season, fans had to say goodbye to THE O.C., which quickly became the most popular night-time soap since BEVERLY HILLS 90210, when it debuted in 2003. Captivating audiences with its fresh dialogue, clever wit, steamy storylines, and the mesmerizing power of Peter Gallagher's eyebrows, the series became a trendsetting force in terms of popular fashion and music tastes among young viewers. Season Four begins on a down note, with each character dealing with Marissa Cooper's tragic death (or not dealing with it, as is often the case). Four months later, Summer is burying her sorrows in uncharacteristic environmental activism at Brown. Seth is back in Orange Country, longing for the close bond he once had with Summer, who, while technically still his girlfriend, is becoming more distant by the day. Perhaps in the worst shape is Ryan, who has not only returned to his old life of minor crime but has also found his way into the seedy world of cage fighting. Thankfully for viewers, good old Sandy Cohen arrives to whisk Ryan and the series back onto safer soil. As Ryan re-acclimates himself to the Cohen way of being, he finds an unlikely friend (and more) in Taylor Townsend, who after years of humiliation at high school, has returned from Paris a new (not to mention married) woman. Season Four is full of excitement, story arcs centering on new characters (with Taylor and Caitlin Cooper taking center stage), and old themes. While many fans may see the show's finale as coming too soon, series creator Josh Schwartz provides some sense of closure with a last episode that jumps several years ahead to answer the question "what happens next?"

    A great finale to a great series!

    No one's doubting that once Mischa Barton was killed off, even though the show's worst actor was gone, the show began to lack that certain spunk and whim that made it such a hit in the beginning. But after a few rather slow and dramatic episodes, the 4th and final season picked back up and became the show it used to be. Just as the show began with the dramatic Tiajuana fiasco, this season ends with something I was surprised had never been mentioned in this show before...an earthquake. Unlikely couples emerge, and strong couples become stronger than ever, and the final episode gives us an epilogue, showing what happens to the characters we've come to know and love so well!     The O.C. Season Four

    I am a HUGE OC fan. I feel in love with the show the very first season and did not miss an episode up unitl the very end. However, the first three seasons are by far way better than the forth (1&2 being the best). While I was watching the forth season I found myself very disappointed and somewhat bored. The storyline just were anywhere near as good as the previous seasons. With that said, I still loved the show and watched all of the last season because at one point it was one of the best shows I had seen in a long time and I wanted to watch it til the end. The first couple and last couple of episodes of this season are the better ones. I would recommend buying this only if you are an OC fanatic, just be aware that it will not compare to seasons 1-3.     The O.C. Fourth Season

    It was really hard for me to watch the fourth season. Dealing with Marissa death was hard to take, and I always cry the first episode of the fourth season. The fourth season is by far the worst season of The OC. Ryan has changed since Marissa death and Julie Cooper is NICE, I know, right? I dont want to ruin it for anyone so I wont say anymore. There are only 16 episodes in the fourth season plus a bonus disk. You need to buy it though, just to complete complete the The OC, plus the very last episode is pretty good.

    Last disc didn’t work

    Last disc wouldn’t read in my player, kinda disappointing. Clear disc case was broken so the dvd was floating and must’ve got so scratched that it won’t play. Although it doesn’t look too scratched. All other discs worked as expected.
