A great series, and great value for money, wouldn't miss it for the world
I used to live just outside Oxford and bought these DVDs partly because of the memories of knowing the city itself and the wealth of architectural information provided in the 'DVDs gives me pleasure, but also because the character of Morse is very compelling viewing. He is portrayed as being quite tough in his approach, yet he has a soft sensitive side as well. Morse is a learned, cultured person, and this in itself hooked me in the first place. I love the music throughout the series, and it educated me a little more about classical music. I think as you watch the series, you begin to feel you know the characters and in fact wish they were real. I enjoy the relationship between Morse and his sidekick Lewis, and it is so sad in the final episode. However, I think creating the character ... Morse is Oxford, and Oxford is Morse....
Having spent a few days B&B at Jesus College, in the centre of Oxford, (which I highly recommend)I decided when I got home that I would like to wander through Oxford again with Morse and Lewis. I saw this set and checked prices and realised e-bay had an amazing offer including postage.No other bidder so bid towards end of time and got it. Brilliant quality and really nice to sit down when I'm in the mood and get the feel of Oxford again. How can you not love Morse? The DVDs work fine and are in a good case. I watch on my computer so the zone doesn't matter.

'Inspector Morse' Hours of compelling viewing, all in one package.
I have been an avid reader of Colin Dexter and a fan of John Thaw for as long as I can remember. The combination of these two artistes in the 'Inspector Morse' series creates compelling viewing. I bought the complete collection for only one reason, to have them all to hand, to be able to watch whenever I choose. The only downside to this product, ummm, well there isn't one. Its a terrific package and will give me hours of entertainment. Inspector Morse is a character that can be watched over and over again, with no possibility of tiring. Would I reccommend you to buy?
