Classics That Really Entertain the Littles!
I came across this on HBO by pure accident as I randomly searched for something to hold my little guy's interst in the wee hours of the morning. The bright colors, the music and the quick pace immediately grabbed his attention and mine. I loved the way they merged everything. Who would dream artwork from museums and classical music would hold a baby's interest? The content is very classical. The artwork is the actual paintings accompanied by classical music and some cartooning. The way they put the music and the artwork together was unbelievable. Great for children newborn and up
This boxed set is in great condition. I love watching it with my now 3 year old granddaughter who has watched it with me since infancy. She recognizes the opening symphony no matter where she hears it.

if you haven't caught this program from HBO - this is a great set to start your child's DVD collection. i've been playing Classical Baby for my little one since she was born! lively and clever animation set to the world's beloved classical and jazz music and famous art and even choreography! my daughter, now 7 months has learned to sit still for 30 minutes to watch this program! my nephews and nieces ages 3-7 also enjoy this program. i know the experts say t.v. is a no-no until at least the age of 3, but let's face it - sometimes a parent needs a distraction! this WAHM highly reccommends Classical Baby. I've seen Baby Einstein and while perhaps stimulating for babies - it's a yawn for adults. We had seen the Classical Baby series on HBO before buying the DVDs, and the reason we bought them was because we were wearing out the TIVO showing the shows over and over to our 3 and 1 year olds! Both kids love the baby conductor, the animals, the art and the music. My baby, who won't sit still for anything, sits mesmerized by these shows. My 3 year old has begun asking questions about art and music. The mix of modern and classical music is appealing, and the use of famous works of art is a clever way to get kids interested. The way the cartoons, music and art are used together is great for little kids. Each piece of music is only a few minutes long, so if a kids doesn't like one, the next is coming right up, keeping the attention. This is one set of DVDs we willingly watch with ...
