the book is physically ok
I got an email requesting me to review this product. How can I review my own religion? It's a belief that the universe works a certain way. There's one reality channel, and I believe this is it. There is a whole philosophy in this book, and it has replaced or created my mindset from who I was previously. Most of us like to have extra copies of the book... it's a religion. So this review is just for the physical book. Basically, it's a starter book in a way, a lure to get you to buy a better, acid free, enhanced font and size book. Basically, since publication in 1955, they never made a better book. I don't know why. There was briefly a few large versions for the sight impaired. There was one small printing of acid free books. Of course there are mp3 dvd's of the audio book, There is some braille availability. It's available for ebooks and as text files and such. But as a physical book this basic edition is not what you want as a full fledged believer... you would want to have available something fancy. Now the digital age is upon us happily, but still I could go for something divided into a set of three (it's 2000 pages), large, acid free paper, gold guilted, leather bound etc. It's printed on bible paper, really thin stuff, always has been. So I'm giving this physical book a 3.

The Urantia Book (2000)
The Urantia Book is the most profound book I've ever read. The authors claim it to be a revelation. But don't let another boy who cried wolf, or revelation, be a stumbling block. I found this book as a doubting, soon to be an agnostic, while serving in the USMC, in 1980. My faith in organized religion, as I knew it then, had been destroyed when my Pastor said, after I handed him a dinosaur fossil, that fossils were put here by the Devil to confuse us. As a young man, who craved to understand science, philosophy & religion, his answer didn't convince me. When I found the Urantia Book, it had answers to such compelling questions as, "Why are we here?"; "Where do we go when we die?"; "Who was this guy named Jesus?"; "Is there really a great divide between science & religion as so many ... The Urantia Book is not easy to read. Many who attempt to read it from the beginning fail to get to the end. The first 200 pages are some of the most mentally complex & paradigm challenging text I've ever tackled. But the later papers that purports to share the story of the life and teachings of the man we know as Jesus is so heartwarming & convincing, I challenge anyone to read the last 1/3 of the book devoted to his life & message & then claim they remain unconvinced of the book's authenticity or fail to become a true follower of The Son of Man and Son of God: Jesus. The book introduces us to his sublime, august personality & makes him a character you want to know & want to devote your life to learn more of, perhaps even shall I say, Follow. The book reveals many missing pieces of the puzzle. The Bible gives us the message of people who were greatly influenced by Jesus, or just his message or his ability to knock one off a horse and blind one briefly. These messages are significant & have unquestionably changed the face of the earth as we know. But they lack when it comes to clearly stating the Message OF Jesus not the Message ABOUT Jesus. There is a difference. The message ABOUT Jesus is that he, as he said he would, rise from the dead in 3 days. The message OF Jesus is that we ARE ALL Children of God & there is a Fragment of God within each one of us. That fragment indwells everyone: not merely those who become followers of today's Christianity. WE ARE ALL Children of the same GOD. GOD respects none more than another. What’s important is that we recognize we are Faith Children of God & then equally all brothers and sisters of the same Creator & then live a life accordingly. Just having a Fragment of God within us is not enough. It's a gift with much potential but it’s our willful consecration of choice to do the will of our Heavenly Creator that brings us to the potential of immortality. God provides this fragment to become one with, in eternity. How Jesus lived is equally, if not more, important than how he died. He showed us the best example of what a human being can become, if one wholeheartedly dedicates one's life to doing the Will of God. This conscious choice to willingly dedicate our thoughts, actions, & interactions with others, brings us to a state of Grace that grows more real with each decision; with what is the highest absolute potential: personality survival. We cannot BE another Jesus. We will not be asked that at our moment of reckoning, but we will be asked if we were good stewards with the gifts we were given. “How did you treat my Children?”

World's Greatest Book!
All of my life I had been searching and wondering why God couldn't just tell us things matter-of-factly. I found this book two years ago and have read around 1,500 pages so far. This is what I had been searching for. This book will make you know, understand, and believe in God. This book has literally changed my life.
