The Nomi Song
I found out about Klaus Nomi in May 2006. I have been a Bowie fan since 1973, and saw his performance on SNL in 1979 with Joey Arias. Somehow I ended up researching Klaus Nomi. I found some of his music. I listened first to After the Fall and the cold Song. I cannot articulate how much his music means to me. I began getting his cds and then got The DVD Nomi Song too. I love it very much. It did break my heart when they did not include the full performances that they showed in the movie as extras. I understand how they would break into the performances to interject dialogue and photos, etc for the sake of the documentary. But why not include the full available footage of his very rare perrformances as DVD extras? If this version were made available every Nomi fan who already has the old ... I miss you Klaus Nomi
This documentary is absolutely amazing. It is a glimpse into a unique frame in time. This uniqueness can be traced to one person... Klaus Sperber who later became the phenomenon known as Klaus Nomi. I can admire a person who just doesn't give a *!#$ about what anyone else thinks and is completely themself. Although this documentary is ultimately tragic, it acurately depicts the genius of Klaus Nomi, the New Wave movement, and the fear and ignorance of the onset of the HIV virus. Although I never new Klaus Nomi personally, after watching this documentary, I feel I do. I miss you Klaus Nomi.This documentary is absolutely amazing. It is a glimpse into a unique frame in time. Amazing life of a man who was ahead of his time and visited Earth too briefly. Klaus Nomi, the man, the myth, the alien with the voice of an angel!

80's Time warp memories
Wow, I remember walking into Fiorucci in 1980 as a young lad of 16, and spying this creature from another planet across the room, and thinking THIS IS NEW YORK. The very same night while at the Saint, who should be lurking in the corner, but Klaus. What a great look back at the way it was, when everything was wild and HOT. Oh how we all yearn for those times.
