    Fun RPG, wish I had gotten into it while it was still being published

    It's a little dinged up and scuffed from age and use, but it's still in pretty good condition. I've been searching for a copy on and off for a few years, so I was extremely happy to have found a copy of the book for a decent price.

    Good, but could be a bit more user-friendly.

    This is a good book, and seems to be a cool game system. If you are a relative newcomer to Roleplaying, be warned. This system is based off of THIRD edition D&D, not 4th(the current). What this boils down to is that you are NOT playing World of Star Warscraft on a tabletop. Unlike 4th edition, 3rd, and this system, have LOTS of negative modifiers for things like races, and even situations. It leads to a fun and challenging game, but be aware that you are not going to start out a god among men like you do in 4th D&D. The race variety in this game is great, with 17 race choices, but only has 5 classes, which is a bit of a steep tradeoff. The game system itself seems like one that will be a lot of fun to play, especially once some of the supplemental books are added in. In terms of the book ...

    Wizards of the Coast succefully made a tabletop game for Star Wars

    I purchased this product because my friends and I wanted to play a Star Wars themed tabletop RPG, but could not find a way run one using our existing systems. Once I had a chance to sit down with the book and examine the system, I discovered that WotC managed to create a system that captures the epic adventure of Star Wars while staying true to the basics of tabletop RPGs. Advancement may be defined by a traditional level system, but the classes are constructed in such a way that no two characters will be exactly alike, depending on what talents and skills they choose to invest in. Likewise, the Force is addressed very nicely, and the Force Pool system helps ensure that a force user of a certain level can't simply mow over the other classes of comparable strength.     SWRPG Saga Edition

    Why did I buy this: I needed a second copy. I love star wars and the pen and paper role playing games are a great way to enjoy all things star wars. The rule made by west end games are good, but they don't make any new books. The old rules from Wizards of the cost kind of suck, and they are not wrtting any stuff for it. SO it was move to the saga edtion or write my own. I hope wizard of the coast will put out more stuff, and they seem to have intergrated this with there other star wars lines. That is a real plus.

    Well-preserved considering the circumstances.

    A bit of visible wear on the spine, but this was listed as "fair" condition so that isn't surprising. The previous owner went through the trouble of using organization labels to tag the different sections, which was an unexpected surprise.
