Product Information

Players head to the Caribbean during the height of the Age of Sail as they attempt to gain fortune and glory as either an Adventurer or a Trader in Port Royale 3. As an Adventurer, gamers engage in naval battles, raid ports, and plunder cities, while Traders must deal with dynamic supply and demand as they grow their economic power by forming trade routes between up to 60 different cities. The "Free Play" mode mixes elements of both campaigns as players sail 16 different kinds of ships for the Spanish, English, French, or Dutch, and up to four can head online for multiplayer competitions.

    Didn't get to play it!

    Well, I was so excited that I found this game and had played the earlier version, so it had to be good...right? Wrong! They changed the controls in the game. You can't select the amount needed because the amount is chosen on a slider and every time you get to the amount you need, the slider keeps moving! No way to disengage the mouse from the slider once the amount you want is selected. Try spending hours just getting through the first assignment as a Merchant! Signed up for the forum, never got the email, never got in for any kind of support. Pass on this one!

    A great real time RPG

    This game is not for the average gamer. If you want to spend alot of time and brain power on a game. This is for you. You spend alot of time sailing from port to port. Selling goods that you have made. They missions are very much like any other game. Go here, kill him, collect this. And of course buying and selling. The plus is if you have a god complex, this is for you. There are many islands to setup on. And you can collect main ships and up to 10 fleets. In other words. PIRATE TIME. The down side to this game is that the learing curve is murder. You will find your self resetting the game alot at first. And having a great biz and then all hell beaks out. (tip, this worked for me. Capture pirate ships and sell them off) This game has so much depth that a short review doesn't do it ...

    Port Royale PC Game

    This game installed great but you must have the disc in your computer to play. This game is very hard to understand and the rules are not very clear. The rules do not show you how to do all of the tasks, you must perform. This game is long and tedious, and hard to figure out what to do next. It would work out much better if it came with instructions that you could keep refering to when first learning to play. There is so much to do to try to get started that you are soon overwhelmed and ready to give up on trying to play this game. The idea and the game play is great, but the directions are sadly lacking to the point it made me just give uo on playing. I would not recommend this game to anyone but those who have lots of time, patience, and knowledge of how to play from someone that plays ...
