Works as advertized
This range extender basically lets you separate the answering machine contained in the phone base-unit from the wireless transceiver (also contained in the base-unit). Each phone must be paired with either the base-unit or an extender (which also contains a wireless transceiver). I've put my base unit in a corner of the house near our primary entrance (a good place for the answering machine), and put the extender in the center of the house. Does just what it's supposed to - extend the range
Simple to set up (the instructions contained in the box are adequate, though less than stellar). Remarkable improvement in sound quality. One thing that I noticed... the cordless phone that I use has an ECO setting which allows the handset to drop down to a lower power level when it is close to the base. I would have expected it to go into ECO mode when it is near the extender, but, alas, that is not the case. All in all, we could not be more pleased with the unit. Calls that used to get dropped regularly are now handled easily and clearly.Simple to set up (the instructions contained in the box are adequate, though less than stellar). Perfect in Every Way
This was used to create a chain of repeaters to increase the cordless signal from inside the house to a handset in another building. And it did/does just that! Perfect. Arrived faster than promised, too.

Powerful little box
Got this for our KX TG273csk (KX TGD590c) to extend third phone to building 100' away. After all the reviews I read, seemed it would work but reviews were somewhat mixed. Mounted it in building and plugged it in, then had wife press the locator button on the main base back in the house. Bingo, Worked like a charm! Second light changes from amber to green and back which tells me the unit is just at the verge of good reception. Building is 54' deep and 45' wide and when I walk around entire space I get clear reception with zero interference. We tested phone range before purchasing range extender by walking to the building while talking on the phone and just outside the door of building everything was clear. shipped fast and it actually works
extended range into house next door. grabbed yellow signal in second house and boosted it so can walk anywhere in second house or yard. I even can walk across the street to the neighbors house.
