À propos de ce produit

Product Information

With this Nikon D D70 DSLR camera, you can take great pictures at a high level of professional quality. The CCD image sensor of this digital camera captures images with an effective resolution of 6.1 MP. This level of image quality produces high-definition images measuring 3008 by 2000 pixels that allow print copies of up to 11 inches by 14 inches. Capture photos as JPEGs for action shots to save space, or use RAW to preserve all the details for intense photo editing with the Nikon D70. This Nikon D70 body-only DSLR allows you to choose each lens separately to meet your individual photography needs. You may want a versatile, general purpose lens or you may prefer to specialize. Nikon recommends Nikkor CPU type G or D AF, AF-S, and AF-I lenses because they are fully compatible with the D70. The digital SLR viewfinder allows you to view your photo directly through the lens. You see 95% of the image that the D70 will capture through the viewfinder. You can also use the rear-mounted LCD screen to determine your next shot. To help you capture your shot, the Type B BriteView Clear Matte Mark II screen displays brackets around the autofocus area. You can also display digital grid lines to help compose your image. The shutter speed ranges from 1/8000 of a second to 30 seconds, and an electronically controlled self-timer can be set for times from two to 20 seconds. The Nikon D70's top continuous shooting speed is 3 frames per second. You can set metering to 3D Color Matrix for overall scenes, center-weighted for mid-range telephoto shots, or spot for more distant telephoto photography. You can set the exposure manually and bracket it over two to three frames in 1/3 or 1/2 EV steps. You can also compensate for exposure settings in EV steps of 1/3, 1/2, or one full step. Automatic exposure settings give priority to either the shutter or to the aperture, or you can choose settings based on the selected scene mode. Night Landscape and Night Portrait modes assist with low-light conditions outdoors while the Sports settings are designed to capture high-speed action. Other choices include Close-up, Portrait, and Landscape. You can choose up to five focus areas, and dynamic autofocus assigns the setting priority to the closest subject. You can also lock the focus on a single point. Advanced photographers can set the white balance settings manually with a photographer's white card. They can also bracket their settings on these cameras, but automatic presets are available. Settings for the Nikon D70 are equivalent to ISO 35 mm film speeds of 200 to 1600 and this Nikon offers a dynamic range of 12 bits. Noise reduction is also available for high ISO settings and long exposures. The Nikon D70 has a built-in flash that offers front and rear curtain, repeating flash, red-eye reduction, slow sync, and red-eye reduction with slow sync. These digital cameras support Nikon's Creative Lighting System (CLS) for excellent lighting results. The D70 stores images on either a CompactFlash (CF) I/II or MicroDrive memory card. It is powered by an EN-EL Li-ion rechargeable battery pack. An EH-5 AC adapter and an MH-18a Quick Charger are also included. The camera has a built-in 1/4-inch tripod mount. The camera body measures 5.5 inches by 4.4 inches by 3.1 inches and weighs 21 ounces.

Avis les plus pertinents

  • Affordable, good picture quality, little heavy and big

Considering this is an old Nikon model and 6.1 MP it takes great pictures with nice colors; keys on camera make it easier to control some functions like white balance, ISO, image quality, focus mode, etc. The camera has several focusing modes that help to take better pictures. Around ISO 1600, the pictures gets a little bit grainy but this is common with this type of high ISO. Camera body its a little heavy and big but nothing impossible to work with. Display screen is also quite small compared with newer cameras. Continuous shutter mode is great using this camera. Something you have to consider is that this camera uses Compact Flash memory cards and that might be inconvenient when you want to download pictures into computer; you can plug camera with USB or buy a CF adapter.

  • Nikon D70, a DSLR workhorse.

The D70 is a great DSLR camera for pros and joes alike. It's one of Nikon's most versatile early digital cameras. I plays well with most of the cutting edge accessory equipment (lenses, flashes, etc.) that's coming out, as well as much of the older Nikon equipment that has been around for years. That means you can either save your pennies by buying older gear that still works great, or you can buy high-end accessories and keep using them when you upgrade your camera body. I've been using the D70 as a main camera for graduations and special events for 5 years, and even when shooting medium size files at the basic quality setting you still get images that will print 8x10s without pixelation. Unless you're shooting for billboard size prints, the D70's 6.1 ...

  • D70, Still a good camera

The D70 remains a good buy for its features, especially if you can find a reasonably priced body that has a lower number of shutter actuations. I bought one to have a body that could autofocus a few non AF-S Nikon lenses I had acquired. It has produced very good images and I have been using it more than my D40. The only draw backs for me have been the smallish LCD & that camera settings can't be reviewed on the rear LCD. Budget considerations were primary in my decision to get a D70 versus a D80 but also reviews had mentioned inaccuracies with the light meter readings on D80, whereas the meter for the D70 has reviewed as very accurate. For me the so-called advantage of 10 MB over 6 MB resolution is trivial.

  • Not a low light contender but still takes a good photo in good light. It will get the job done for very Little money. Just keep your iso 400 or under.

I like it, the image quality is better than any bridge camera i have used. But not great by todays standards. Keep your iso down and you could use it as a profesdional camera.

  • A great camera and gives a lot for the money. It's a Nikon.

This is my second Nikon D70. I have moved up, but pro cameras get heavy walking the streets. Looking for something lighter, I went back to the light D70. It will take most all Nikon lens and work in AF. It may be older, but still a great camera for general use and cheap enough to keep handy with a nice lens like the 28-80mm. Keep it in the car or on the kitchen table without worry of crashing $2000 or more. I highly recommend it as second or third camera-it's sharp, fast and light. Mine, came with only 15,000 clicks, Like new and worth every penny.
