Dave/Kick-Ass and Mindy/Hit Girl (Chloë Grace Moretz) are about to graduate from high school and become a crime-fighting duo when their noble plans are foiled by Mindy's strict godfather. Now, as Mindy hangs up her Hit Girl uniform and navigates the treacherous high-school social scene, Kick-Ass begins patrolling the streets with Justice Forever, a fearless group of urban watchdogs fronted by former mob thug Colonel Stars and Stripes (Jim Carrey). They've got the criminal element on the run when Chris D'Amico lays his Red Mist persona to rest, and reemerges as The Mother F**ker, a powerful criminal mastermind with a loyal legion of henchmen. The Mother F**ker is determined to avenge the death of his late father, who previously perished at the hands of Kick-Ass and Hit Girl. Now, as The Mother F**ker and his minions begin targeting the members of Justice Forever, Hit Girl realizes that the only way to save Kick-Ass and his new friends is to emerge from her forced retirement, and fight back with everything she's got.     Love Aaron Taylor-Johnson but hated the excessive violence

    I bought this because I absolutely love Aaron Taylor-Johnson, so any time he is on the screen, the movie is great. I took off one star because many of the scenes are unnecessarily violent with no element of fun, unlike the first Kick-Ass. I especially disliked the street scene where lots of police are killed. Totally pointless. At least I can fast-forward to the good parts. Reviewing the Blu-ray itself, it looks great and has some pretty cool special features, so it was definitely worth the mon

    Excellent follow up...

    Engaging sequel even though the first scenes were disappointing, it picked up later. The school cafe scene was hilarious, but I would have opted for a different ending....romanic union perhaps between Kick-Ass and Hit Girl?

    Kick Ass 2 is pretty much like the first Kick Ass movie. A lot of action mixed with violence and goofy humor. There is more characters in this movie and the action is just as good. Acting wise a few people steal the show from the stars of the first movie. Jim Carrey plays Colonel Stars and Stripes a former Mob hemchman turned masked super hero/born again christian. Now we all know that Jim didn't want to promote this picture because of the violence and don't get me started on that and I feel that might have hurt the movies box office performance here in America but I still think he steals every scene he is in. The down point on that is that there is very few scenes with him. Another new character this time on the bad side called Mother Russia is just great. The way she hunts and kills ...

    Kick the Asses, again!

    Jim Carrey was amazing in this film, seemed like genuine good guy and was badass in fighting as well.
