    Good picture in daylight, noisy in low light

    +an easy-to-carry camera with lots of features +Takes great daylight shots +Fast focusing -Noisy at ISO 400 and above -No zoom in video mode It’s easy to use and has an optical viewfinder. There are plenty of megapixels and also extra features compared to other similar digital cameras but if you use video mode, be sure to set it to "Fine" quality. When shooting in available light without the flash, there’s a bit of a lag saving files to the card .

    better than previous W series in build, response

    I am conservative w/ respect to the Sony point-and-shoot notably bc I'm kind of used to the response speed of a SLR, but that doesn't preclude me from acknowledging that this camera has a lot of positives when compared against previous W series. The screen is excellent, nothing new here w/ Sony. The response time is above avg (an area where comparatively the T series fail to impress) and the pics result is that you can enlarge the photo w/o much misgiving about artifacts or noise, even though sharpness is not edge-cutting like we normally see in SLR image (I can't comment on other tests like vignetting or purple fringe, distortion: SLR people would be more inclined to learn about those). So, for many, this P&S w/ excellent build quality, proper thickness and weight (albeit a useless ...

    A great little camera

    My sister-in-law has this camera, and I was so impressed by the indoor photos taken at Thanksgiving, I decided to get one. Of course, as usual, Sony has d/c'd it, "improved" it to a new model, so I had to try finding it on ebay. Success! It is living up to every expectation I had. It is the easiest to use, and takes great pictures whether on "Easy", "Iso" or Iso+". My old Canon SD630 would blow people faces out with flash, but if I turned off flash, regardless of the lighting inside, I got orangey-looking color, or blurriness. All that is non-existent with this DSC-W300. I get perfect indoor photos in low light without flash. And outside, perfect too! LOVE THIS CAMERA!

    Great camera - great value!

    Sony product has performed above expectations - really like the feature for underwater color adjustment! Telephoto lens is also top notch. Batteries are very long lasting and easy to recharge.

    Pretty much the best camera out right now

    There is nothing to dislike about this camera if your looking for the best small camera. It has so many features (which are actually easy to use). I TRIED to take a blurry photo, like waving the camera while taking a picture, and no, no it won't take a blurry pic. So crazy and sweet. Here's something else, I look at the photos on my 52" TV so they're blown up real big and there's no blurring or pixelation. It looks like a professional shot them. It's great. Buy it and if it doesn't blow you away, email me and I'll buy it back from you. Seriously.
