    Good for low budget studio, bad for mobility.

    I bought because i was looking for a firewire/usb recording. The exact product i need its to a low budget studio, i mean not a room itself, but about equipment. As i live in Brazil and equipment is very expensive here, i must think about an equipment thats i could buy. So as i can´t buy or find a good solution of a firewire/usb mixer thats have compress, buses and mic preamps for 16 channels with good price. I resolved to buy 2 Delta 1010LT and an analogic mixer with 8 direct outs + 8 subgroups. This mixer has 12 mic preamps thats i could record 4 guys rock band in live mode include drums here. The things i most like in this card its about AD converters, MIDI IN/OUT and SPDIF, with spdif i can link how many card i want and put the yamaha keyboard in midi port using any VST i like.     great for live recordings ...

    mobility can be a issuie due to needing a desktop ... I have my 1010lt in a 4U rack mount server-case .. upon setup there are a few options . you can have 8 mono channels in and out again independently .. or mixed into a stereo monitor output .. the 2 XLR inputs can be adapted to rca .. and the pre amps are adjustable using jumpers .. the best portable setup is to use a mixer with 8 or 16 channels that have Insert .and use 1/4 " (6mm) stereo to rca cables .. and use a 4U server computer case ... then put all into a road case that can mount the Mixer as well as the computer .. two 1010lt cards with the 16channel setup can work perfectly for live rock , metal....ect type bands ..Windows XP is a great platform as it has low latency ... Ubuntu works great also ( using Muditia24 to control ...

    The M Audio Delta 1010Lt, on the comeback.

    The M Audio 1010lt (M from now on) was before its time. It offers two xlr balanced inputs and six rca connectors on the analog breakout cable and for digital, midi, optical and s/pdif in and outs give it its ten in and ten out model name. In general recording it can record a full band out often a main mixers bus or multi channel out straight to the p.c. for more production or for p.c. component hookups its simple to connect stereo, DVD, CD, mp3 all at the same time functioning like a route or switch or ran as a multichannel in/out for a variety of possibilities. Its sound is great and its use ability is back on the rise. We are seeing its popularity coming back as the "easy USB" and four in out interfaces are loosing favor in live situations.     Delta 1010LT does was I expected. Great value for pro/semi pro soundcard

    Great value for a professional quality card especially if you get an auction deal. Versatile output routing was a feature I personally liked. One problem for me was I had and still have problems with spdif in. I can't get it to work. (I even tried another card) Might be a clocking or syncing issue? I bought this card for a computer configured as a stream encoder to send out an internet broadcast. We use two streams at different bitrates. Each bitrate requires independent processing and monitoring so 8 analog ins and outs comes in very handy. Remember though that only 2 of the 8 analog inputs are mic level balanced. The rest are unbalanced. This wasn't a problem for me. I wished that the GUI had the ability for you to re-lable the ins and outs for personal identification like the EMU ...

    This is an EXCELLENT sound card for DJs!!

    This sound card allows the digital DJ to have up to FOUR stereo outputs on the PC they are using on the road! this works VERY well with most mixing software packages such as Virtual DJ! This card also has THREE stereo inputs as well as two mic inputs, as a result the recording capabilities are only limited to the software you are using. For instance, when using Adobe's Audition program, you can use each individual input as a separate channel on the recording end! Basically AWESOME!!!
