In the year 3058, the Houses of the Inner Sphere banded together to take on the clans of the most feared warriors in the galaxy, the Smoke Jaguars. The Smoke Jaguars have been pushed back but have not admitted defeat. The final destruction of this powerful clan is your responsibility, should you choose to accept it. The annihilation of the Smoke Jaguars will not be easy. While they have been battered, nothing is more deadly than a wounded and cornered cat. To complete their destruction, you will lead 18 different BattleMechs across the battlefield. As your rank rises, you will be given the opportunity to control more and more of the war, hastening the end of the Smoke Jaguars. MechWarrior 3 is a total upgrade from MechWarrior 2. You have complete control of your 'Mech as you take charge of eliminating the Smoke Jaguars. Top quality graphics and sound enhance the battle and the game contains a long campaign that keeps the challenge fresh. In terms of multi-player support, MechWarrior 3 can be played over the Internet, LAN or modem for head-to-head play. An oldie, but a goodie
When Mechwarrior 3 came out a few years following the Mechwarrior 2 games from the Battletech franchise, it blew fans out of the water. Really, it stands the test of time against the current mediocre mech games the industry is pumping out every year. The sound and the voice acting are spot on, only a few places where it might seem a little over the top, but not often. The story is gripping, if you pay attention to the comm-chatter and briefings. If you're just looking for another Halo where you can pump lead into moving objects willy-nilly, then walk away. If you're looking for a good, solid FPS/ThPS mech game, welcome to the franchise. One more thing to be wary of is buying this game because you've played the Mechassault games on the X-Box. Be warned, this is a totally different ... The only flaws are the short campaign (which can be overlooked if you can get a hold of the expansion) and the occasional glitch. Overall, it's a solid game. The graphics *are* dated, but the gameplay is not. If you're willing to look over the age on this game, it still stands up on it's armored legs with a much stronger stance than most. PS: if you do like this game, look into the "Pirate Moon" expansion for an even longer experience.

Old game great condition
Love this game. Getting it to work on the Windows 10 took some work but I googled it and we are up and running. The game play is really good and the story and plot fit well.

Battletech Rules
Though the box certainly shows that time has visited upon it, the product came in perfectly, and I loaded this up on my 486 and got it running of the voodoo card. This game is still as I remember when i borrowed it, awesome to the core. Excellent piece of collectors for me, I am extremely happy with it!

mw3 works with xp(if you are willing to work with it)

If you have a 98 system it is a great game. Don't bother with XP system , it crashes a lot. Demands that you pay attention to your environment. It isn't complicated but does require concentration.Should have had more missions. I am keeping all copies to install someday on a 98 system. Would like to play it again. Music is limited in number of tunes, but tunes are good ones. I would like to see more games of this caliber for PC. It really sets a higher standard.Only wish it worked with higher grade Direct X and graphics cards.If you have a 98 system it is a great game. Don't bother with XP system , it crashes a lot.
