She Devil AKA the revenge of the mistreated housewife
I found this movie to be a little cheesy- but quite funny as well and definitely one that is worth watching, especially if you are a fan of Rosanne Barr's underdog style of comedy. The plot is also somewhat simmilar to First Wives Club (with a little less sophisticated characters), so if you liked that movie, you will probably like this one. Roseanne Barr plays a doubty suburban housewife and mother, named Ruth. Although she demonstrates clear devotion to her accountant husband, Bob, he does not treat her well and we later learn that he only married her because she was pregnant (and his parents made him- what a guy, hugh?). The plot thickens when Bob and Ruth attend a party and Ruth spills her drink all over the famous romance novelist, Mary Fisher (played by Meryl Streep). For Bob and ... Funny movie
Have always liked this movie. Was very glad to find it at a price that was affordable. It plays well and now I can watch it whenever I want. Came quickly.
