Product Information

Landon Carter (Shane West) and his friends are the coolest kids in Beaufort, North Carolina. They wear the right clothes, drive the right cars, and get into just enough trouble to be rebellious. Jamie Sullivan (Mandy Moore) is the opposite--there doesn't seem to be anything cool about her. The preacher's daughter, plain Jamie wears big boxy dresses and the same sweater every day. She endures the scorn of Landon and his friends with a smile, always looking for the best in people. When a prank planned by Landon and his friend goes terribly wrong, the principal sentences him to tutoring on the weekends and working on the school play, activities in which Jamie is involved. As the two begin spending time together, Landon finds himself intrigued by this guileless girl who sees beauty in everything and exhibits unwavering faith in people and in the world. When circumstances beyond Landon and Jamie's control threaten their love, he stays by her side and does everything he can to make her dreams come true. Based on the best-selling novel of the same name by Nicholas Sparks, the film also stars Peter Coyote and Daryl Hannah.

    A fun movie for middle teens to young adults.

    I like that this movie captures the essence of the characters being played and realizes the fact that life has its twists and turns. It's good to see how the roles play against each other and then finally come to an understanding of growing up from the events they experience. Life and death both have their roles to play in this mortal existence but there is always something new to learn from the in-between. I didn't care for the select few cheesy lines. If you like the modern romance and drama then I highly suggest this movie.

    An excellent remembrance of our life

    It's a touching story. It give us an example how fragile we are and how short life is and how ready we have to be to confront the disappearance of one member of our family. Mandy did an extraordinary role as always has done. West was excellent too.

    Her all time favorite

    I would first off like to say I have never seen the movie, but probably will soon. My girlfriend mentioned she had never owned a physical copy of the movie, and that's a pretty big deal to her. So I had to find it. She loved getting a brand new unopened copy of this movie so thanks so much.

    Great buy

    The movie was used but in excellent condition at a fair price. Plus I just love the movie since I was in high school and I decided to buy it so I could take a trip down memory lane.

    Forever in my heart is' A Walk to Remember'

    I really only watched this movie because my daughter put it on while I was visiting, because I considered myself definintly not the SAPPY type. I was wrong. I have watched this dvd 12 times since the first time, and I have cried each and every time. Not just for the loss of Landon, but for the joy of what selfless love and truly believing in something can do in life. This dvd brought back a feeling of wanting to be the best person I could be instead of just being what is exspected of me. I relize now that I once felt that way about life and somewhere along the way I lost it , and didn't even know I had lost it, and although I wasnt exactly happy, I wasnt unhappy either, I was ...... just going through the motions. This dvd reminded me how people with faith and selfless caring about ...
