One of the greatest series of our time, Great value at any price.
Who would ever have thought that a serial killer could be such a great guy? Truly a hero so to speak. Dexter is raised by a family who adopted him, which already makes them extra special people. So I will refer to them as his true family. His mother dies while Dexter is still a child, but close to puberty. The couple also have a daughter close in age to Dexter who for the most part have all the usual sibling ups and downs, but for the most part it is a good relationship. So it is his police father who learns the deep dark side forever growing within his son, and helps him realize that while Dexter is void of any human compassion it is something that he needs to control along with his ability to interact with people in general and that his need to kill can actually be used to help society ... So it is his police father who learns the deep dark side forever growing within his son, and helps him realize that while Dexter is void of any human compassion it is something that he needs to control along with his ability to interact with people in general and that his need to kill can actually be used to help society (even if it is not his main goal in life) while at the same time help himself by allowing the killer in him to be used for what I will refer to as his well taught, learned and practiced skills to eliminate evil people without being caught. Dexter becomes a blood splatter expert while is sister follows in her father's foot steps and becomes a police officer, then works vice and finally gets promoted to the desired position of homicide detective. It's so interesting to watch Dexter live in a world where he does all he can to blend in while never feeling a part of anything or anyone's affections. Except for his treasured small blood splatters of those who will no longer prey upon the innocents of society. But actually he does have good, honest attributes that he himself is unaware of or unwilling to admit to having. There is a girlfriend with a couple of her own children and while he says that he doesn't get all the emotions and motions of what a family practices - you would never know it. He is the perfect gentleman and friend/baby sitter/father figure to this incredibly lucky family. If you like watching crime programs with a sense of humor than Dexter is perfect. Personally my family have all become fans of Dexter and he really is a great guy. I highly recommend this series - it's GREAT!

Fake DVDs but you get what you pay for!
I should have read the previous reviews before buying. These are not original DVDs, but fakes someone has copied. The image is pixilated at times like streaming with a bad/slow internet connection. There are no subtitles where there were in the original show, so at times when the characters are speaking Spanish you have no idea what they are talking about unless you are fluent in the language. Other than that they look authentic to the naked eye and inexperienced person. The packaging and boxes even look like the real deal at first glance. In the end you get what you pay for. Not a bad price for what you get if you don't mind a lower quality, but you might consider buying from an actual store if you want to guarantee authentic DVDs.I should have read the previous reviews before buying. The quality of the disks is Fair, have to stop and restart now and then because voice and Video are out of sync. As it is no big deal to me, they sync on restart, I'm keeping them. I purchased them for a very low price from the seller and would probably get future shows from them if the price is as great as this set. Because of the quality, I can't said I'd recommend to a friend if they were really into creating a Library of Videos. Love the way Dexter Morgan "takes out the trash!" Great cast and engaging situations. Two thumbs up!
