Great show, a must for any Legend of the Seeker fan.
I used to watch this show when it aired on Sundays a few years back on ABC. Little did I know the show was actually owned/produced by Disney (of all people) and the majority of the crew were people who worked on the Lord of the Rings trilogy. This show is very well written, family friendly, action packed. I honestly do feel that this 2nd season isnt quite as good as the 1st season and the final show down with the main villian of this season is a let down (compared to how they build it up and up). It left me thinking: "wow, thats it? Seemed a bit too easy". If your into midevil type "Lord of the Rings", "Hercules", "Zena: Warrior Princess" type shows, you'll love Legend of the Seeker. Even if you are a gamer and really into like World of ... I used to watch this show when it aired on Sundays a few years back on ABC. I just wish they hadnt canceled the show and made a 3rd season. Id love to have seen where they would have taken the plot.

Legend Of The Seeker DVD /E-BAY Praise
I love DVD sets. I am sad, that there is only two seasons of The Legend Of The Seeker. I have loved The sword of Truth novels since the first book came out and have traveled along on the journey for over two decades. I received my first season as a X-Mas present, and was overjoyed to see the books were on TV ..finally...I always thought he books would make a perfect movie. So having watched the first season in one setting I wanted more....and there is a season two!...Checking all the usual retail stores I was pretty angry that it was listed for 48.00 ( plus S&H)...that is a lot... for a DVD even for a series I love. And then I check E-Bay and won an auction and spent 21.00 plus S&H.....I just wanted to say I LOVE E-BAY. I haven't used E-Bay in almost 6 years but I am an ... I love DVD sets. Midieval fantasy done well.
Legend Of The Seeker is an action-packed, cohesive Midieval fantasy that plays on many of the typical themes (hero waiting to be discovered, magic sword and other magic devices, wizards, a powerful enemy, and of course, beautiful assistant characters). In addition, the scenery of the show is the best of New Zealand's fabulous parklands -- the big sweeping land shots are awesome. What also sets this series apart are the plot lines of each episode. They're usually well crafted and make sense. They're believable, so you don't get bored very often. Some of the dialog rambles occasionally, but that can be passed with a click of your remote control. A lot of swords and socerery to be seen..
This drama is set in medieval times. The characters have special powers that enable them to triumph over death and disfigurement. I have not seen the earlier DVD, but the jist of the story quest is shown. I would have wanted less sword fights and wars, but it fills in the time between dialog nicely.

Fantastic Magical Adventure Series!
Lots of scenery depicting days of old. Love the series and was sad to see it go. If you love scenery, magic, gothic, Merlin type stuff, you will really enjoy this series! There is some love and romance..so saying that, some women may also find this great to watch with you gents! Total good versus evil thing going on in these series, but good almost always prevails.
