    Apple has cornered this market.

    This is the only product like it on the market: an Operating system based mp3 player. If there was an Android based model out there I'd suggest it first. Apple is draconian and very inflexible about doing things your own way. The Bad: So long as you don't jailbreak the unit and use itunes, there are SEVERE restrictions on the kinds of media that can be used. Videos MUST be mp4/m4a format, nothing else can be read, audio MUST be mp3, cd-ripped, or proprietary apple formats. itunes will not take any other formats. Of course everything is only as helpful as your wifi coverage. Without data service, calenders/facebook/maps/weather/app store/etc etc doesn't work. My battery life has not been phenomenal, but not bad... A day of use will usually drain it. The Good: 64gb is ...

    Great device but memory capacity is largely misrepresented.

    First of all, one has to note a biggest lie of all of the manufacturers tha misrepresent their memory capacity on mp3 players and other devices. For example, IPod 64 GB cannot even have more than 60 GB of memory because it is using the Toshiba battery with a maximum capacity of 60 GB. It is the same battery that Sony used on its compact fully functional laptops T350 back in 2005. Moreover, when you get the unit you can only use 58 GB of its memory because the rest is dedicated to the operating system. The same is true for 8 GB, 16GB, 32 GB models of all IPods, IPads and IPhones. Otherwise, this device is perfect for carrying average size music library on it. Since I bought this unit used a battery life on it is not as good as on the new ones. If you overcharge the battery a few times ...

    cool device

    this is my first ipod. I am very impressed. the one thing the 3rd generation doesn't have is a camera. it does hold a lot of music and apps. the battery life is decent but definitely not long. the sound quality is very good and it is easy to use. if you can find a good deal I would recommend getting one, but if you see a similar price on a higher generation model I would get that.

    Why I bought an I-pod

    I bought an I-pod Touch 64gb for the wife to save her pictures!and show them off. She's not into all the other features the little touch has to offer. It did'nt take long and she expressed she did'nt like it because you could not add or subtract her pictures as she went. She has to add all her pictures from another source and this will automatically remove all existing pictures from I-pod. I found this is how all it's programs work add one song and it removes all song already on unit. Kind of a pain, now you have to keep I-tunes loaded with everything you want to use on your computer or loose them. I found the Epson P-6000 to be much more practical for us as you can add or remove any pictures, vidio's, songs, etc. Epson has it's own hard drive not a flash drive like the I-pod Touch. If ...

    New Touch

    This is the first smart product i have ever owned; the first apple product too. Learning how to use it in consort with my pc has been a challenge. I upgraded itunes on my computer and it seems that not my 3rd gen. ipod is having connectivity problems or some kind of compatibility problem, a problem being recognized by new itunes. Anyway, i like this vintage toy. When did these things emerge, 3rd gen? I like the curved steel back of the thing more than the new flat ones, no lack of style. Only time will tell. Battery life? who knows. Will it keep on ticking? who knows! It's pretty easy to use if a complete neophyte like me can figure it mostly all out. But then Steve Jobs wanted it that way, style, elegance, simplicity. I like it. And at the price I paid, unless it dies tomorrow, or next ...
