John Denver has always been a favorite of mine...and on these CDs, he's absolutely at his absolute best!! There are a good number of songs I had never heard before, and now some are my new favorites! I can't stop singing "Eagles and Horses—one I'd never heard before, and now my new favorite. The lead-in to the song is fabulous! There is something for everyone—and his musicians are the best! You will find all of his hits, but there are also many new songs about love, and songs about US—as humans, and what we've done to the the earth, and all that lives on it—the entire planet—as well as to people around the world. Very strong stuff—that reveals the very heart of John Denver and his passion for nature and humanity. All the songs on the two CDs are so melodic, even his Rock 'n' Roll ... This concert was made just two years before his tragic death—Much too soon! Thankfully, we'll always have his music. If you are a John Denver fan, the CDs and DVD are a MUST for your CD and DVD libraries. SUPERB!!!

Marvelous, Wonderful CD!!
This CD really showcases John Denver in what I feel was the pinnacle of his career! This collection is a fabulous mix of old favorites and standards that every every fan of John's music knows,and loves. Disc two showcases his versatility as an artist when he covers some Jazz and Blues standards. These he does with the same energy and quality as his usual genres. If there would be one thing I'd put down as a "dislike" it would be that there are only the 28 songs and approximately two hours on these Discs. Of course I can also wish he hadn't left us so soon.This CD really showcases John Denver in what I feel was the pinnacle of his career! Gone is the country sweet, and in is heart felt abiding love for all humankind. A Joy To Listen To
I like all that John Denver has performed whether he wrote the music or just sang the song. But this CD is special for me. It shows a wide range of styles I've some how missed hearing from him before. Since it was live, his wonderful interaction with people shines through. The insert with the history of the show, the hows, whens, wheres and especially the whys only adds more reasons to buy it. My heart is in the same place as his when it comes to the environment and wild life. If only he were still here the world would indeed be a better place for one and all. I am looking now to by the DVD to make the event complete.
