Excellent and compact coffeemaker.
This is a great coffeemaker, makes very good coffee. Offers both mesh and paper filter use. Can make 1-12 cups, although I have not made fewer than 3 cups at a time, so I don't know the results of making just a cup or two. It is more compact than our prior coffeemaker, so it takes up less counter space. It also has a programmable auto shut-off which protects us from leaving the coffeemaker on all day while at work. I see two design flaws. One, it has a narrow water receptacle with an interior gauge that is hard to see, and it is difficult pouring the water into the narrow area without missing a bit and causing a leak onto the heating plate. Two, condensation forms on the inside of the lid, and the water can spill off when opening the top. I also worry about mildew forming, ... This is a great coffeemaker, makes very good coffee. Trusted, reliable friend.
This purchase is a replacement for the same coffee maker I've had for 10+ yrs, I did not take very good care of my old one even though I loved it dearly. It started shutting off mid cycle and getting noisy so I had to retire it...God knows how long it would last if I maintained it properly. Still my favorite coffee maker.
I've owned this model (DCC-1200) since it was first introduced quite some time ago. I have been replacing it with the same model since then. I have ALWAYS loved the design and features. The top feature for me is the auto shut off warmer, no more "accidents" being left on. It brews coffee at least as well or better then any other drip coffee maker AND it keeps it at just the right temperature. It has a large 12 cup capacity AND a very small footprint for its size. On top of that, it really does look good. When I look on the store shelf's it is easy for me to see how this particular Cuisinart model has had a big influence on the designs by other brand makers over the years which I think tells a story of it's own.I've owned this model (DCC-1200) since it was first introduced quite some time ago. Cuisinart dcc1200
This makes my 4th Cuisinart coffee pot in this series.. They are without a doubt a wonderful great manufactured product.. Same problem after years of use is one of two problems that ends their life. Heating element in brew cycle, or leak in reservoir. Item very fair priced..fast shipping... and finally factory refurbished is a equal to brand new...save your money..

A great machine for coffee.
This is the best coffee machine I have ever used. A quality item which consistently makes a great drip brew. This particular model has been out for over ten years, and for good reason. Lots of other models offer semi useful features which seldom really add to the end product, this one makes good coffee, in small quantity or large.
