Works great. Accurate directions and easy operation. I would rate it a 5 but I was disappointed it won’t figure your mileage when you add fuel. I wouldn’t buy any other one. I had a competitors’ and while it had more features it would crash, had power cord problems, and stayed lost most of the time.

Lots of problems
Some times it takes 30 minutes to get position information. The antenna or receiver is no where as good as the nuvi. When it turns on the display is really dim, basically black, and one has to remember where the brightness button is. If it is not used for a month it crashes and needs the software updated before it will work. Lots of false alerts. Needs more information windows across bottom not just 2. Would be nice to have speed, distance to, time of arrival. elevation etc. I have sent it into garmin twice in the 6 months I have owned it and it comes back with the same problems. No I would not recommend. However that being said the screen size is nice for us old blind dudes.Some times it takes 30 minutes to get position information. Big ol screen an easy to use
Set up easy everything else just fine except the word command has a problem hearing my voice even with the windows up and the radio off it's having a problem understanding my voice commands sure is a lot easier talking than typing and wife likes it too since she's the Navigator

SKEPTICAL
At first I was concerned about the size but the display I just right and crisp. The unit took some figuring in comparison to the 560 but they were improvements that fit well.

It does okay.
Its better than using your phone GPS. My phone would frequently cut out when I needed it most and cause me to miss a turn. It also is good at routing you for trucking routes though its not always accurate. The 1st day I used it, it took me to Holly street on San Carlos blvd in CA right off the freeway. That was a no truck street. It is also frequently wrong on speed limits. Sometimes it tries to route me on longer routes like it doesnt know theres a street there and it isnt even a no truck street. I have read many reviews and it seem like everyone has issues of some sort with all the GPS units. None are perfect but, like I said, its better than your phone. And this one seems better than some of the nightmare reviews I read about the Rand McNally. Ive had this one a week and so far it has ... Its better than using your phone GPS. This one also has a feature that lets you switch to car mode in case you want to use it in a car. I gave 3 stars because of the errors but to be fair, Im a local high population multi-city driver so maybe its asking to much for 100% accuracy here. Over all its a nice device and Im sure it would be a great GPS for OTR truckers.
