Led Zeppelin were the best. Created from the top musicians of the Sixties-Jimmy Page is believed to have played on over half of all British-released records between 1963 and 1965-they became one of the most successful bands of all time. Formed in 1968 from the ashes of The Yardbirds, the band's name came from a chance remark made by Keith Moon, who said they would 'go down like a lead balloon'.
