A feel good movie like no other!!
This is one of my top ten movies of all time!! I just LOVE Robert Downey Jr. and the supporting cast is nothing short of genius!! (Kyra Sedgewick, Charles Grodin, Elizabeth Shue, Tom Sizemore, Alfre Woodard and David Paymer, as the younger Robert Downey Jr.)This is such a heartwarming story about a little boy who is born at the same time a devastating bus accident occures, and as the boy enters the world his spirit is connected with 4 souls who died at the same time he was born, thus being linked and tied to them for a great many years while Robert Downey Jr. grew up. The little boy (David Paymer) who played his childhood years, could not have been a better choice. He is absolutely amazing! However, when the boy becomes a bit strange by talking to these beings and looking like he is ... This is one of my top ten movies of all time!! I just LOVE Robert Downey Jr. and the supporting cast is nothing short of genius!! However, when the boy becomes a bit strange by talking to these beings and looking like he is talking to himself, making everyone question his sanity, the four make a gut renching decision and step back until the child has grown up...Then they realize why they are still earth bound because they all had one last thing they desperately needed to do and Robert Downey Jr. is the vessel in which each of them accomplish what completes them in this life and then they move on to the next life, via the bus driver who killed them in the first place! This is a feel good movie with lots of humor tempered with some amazing heartfelt moments that will make you laugh and cry and wish it would have lasted a bit longer!! I give this movie 5 stars...I hope you enjoy this film as much as I have over the years!! Suzybb2

Great Movie!
I have watched this movie at least a dozen times and never get tired of it. Definitely my favorite Robert Downey Jr. movie, and even after seeing it so many times, I still laugh my head off. All of the characters are so believable and the story is great! Love, Love, Love this movie!!

Heart and Souls
This was such a heartfelt movie. Very much a tear-jerker at times, and yet very funny other times. One of Elizabeth Shue and Robert Downey, Jr.'s best movies. The only drag segment was during the toddler time, which I just forwarded thru after the first couple of times. There are so many movies that are good and then are ruined at the end. This movie has a great ending. The concept of this movie is so cute and rather unique to others I have watched. Just when you think you know what will happen next, it takes a little curve and surprises you. I bought this movie so that I would have the opportunity to watch it whenever I wanted to. I have probably seen it at least 20 times!! I highly recommend this movie, I think you will really enjoy it unless you are looking for blood and ... This was such a heartfelt movie. Cute movie
The movie is about these 4 people who die at the same time and the same place. They become ghost to a baby. Friendly fun ghost who sing and play with the boy until. They become a problem for the little boy. They disappear until he is grown. Then he helps all 4 finish their most important things in their life. It’s kind of funny because they take over the mans body to finish the things they didn’t when they were alive. Hear & Souls has alot of heart 3
I am a long time fan of Robert Downey Jr. and loved this movie since way back...it was recently that I was telling my daughter about his earlier movies long before Iron Man, and Tropic Thunder and began sharing with her one of my all time favorite movies, which indeed is "Heart & Souls". This is a wonderful movie for all the family to enjoy with a very touching story / plot about this cast of characters who have become aligned with Robert's character and how as the story unfolds...they help him, as much as he helps them. I hate to write to much in depth items about the story in fear of giving to much away. This is a MUST SEE movie.
