À propos de ce produit

Product Information

KOEI's Feudal Japan offshoot of its Dynasty Warriors series returns with a revamped combat and leveling system. The action once again takes place from a third-person perspective, set behind one of 26 historically inspired characters. The goal is to travel across a series of battlefields while meting out punishment against rival armies. Players will use their character's distinctive weapon to perform various combo attacks on groups of ten or more combatants, with guards and mounts available to assist in the war effort. Objectives range from defeating enemy generals to defending the region's headquarters from attack.

After choosing a character, each rated in such areas as life, speed, riding ability, and dexterity, players can delve into a Story Mode, Free Mode, Survival Mode, or a round of "Sugoroku," the latter being a twist on the classic Japanese board game. Story Mode consists of five or six scenarios, depending on the selected character. Free Mode involves building up a character's stats in a choice of unlocked battlefields, while Survival Mode has players completing various quests in a castle with endless floors. Sugoroku is a four-player Monopoly variant with mini-games. Players alternate turns and advance across a 3D board while purchasing properties and competing in action-based challenges.

The combat system primarily relies on tapping two buttons for normal and charge attacks with the equipped weapon. The magic-based Musou attacks have returned, only this time the meter can be filled to one of three levels for more powerful, cinematic strikes. Also new are character-specific special moves, such as summoning fireballs, initiating lightning strikes, throwing enemies, planting mines, and more. Statistics gradually increase with a character's proficiency in battle, and skills are now automatically equipped throughout the course of play. The PlayStation 2 version includes two-player cooperative action, while the Xbox versions offer Xbox Live support for one-on-one versus action.

  • Samurai Warriors 2 - Repetitive, fun, and addicting.

Samurai Warriors is made by the same people who make Dynasty Warriors. However, the Samurai series takes place in Japan instead of China. Here are some pros and cons about this game: Pros: +Over 25 different characters to level up and develop. +Over 20 or so stages for you to battle on, all with different atmospheres, etc. +Bonus mini game which plays like Monopoly, known as Sugoroku, helps give players an opportunity to take a break from the monotonous hack-&-slash. +Each character has their own, unique story. +Easy controls, decent graphics, good music, and fun game play. +Easy to pick-up-and-play. Cons: -No character create mode like in the Empires side-series. -Player 2 cannot be logged in with their own Gamer Tag, meaning that only one person may get achievements at a time.

  • Good game

You are a samurai and in a war. Theres not much characters in the start but once u play for like a week you will at least unlock about 5-7. There are many characters in this game and real samurais. This game is like Dynasty Warriors, if you don't know what that is its like the hack and slash games where you take out a whole army and fight generals of the other team. You eat bread, sushi, and other food to heal(which is kinda annoying). There a Co-op mode where a friend can help you out which is pretty fun but the weird thing is that the mission doesn't get harder at all. This game you can also get better weapons to equip and buy some horse to being your mission. Theres 3 different modes Story,Free, and Challenge. Theres also this stupid pointless game called sugorku or something like that. ...

  • Great game, lots of fun.

Great game, expands upon the first Samurai warriors. Overall this game is a great game and can offer lots of fun. One thing I think was missing though was a possible updated version of character creation, which I think could have made the game a bit more fun. Lots of new unlockable characters as well, so if you're into the ole Hack and Slash games, this one is definitely worth a buy.

  • mikes review

This game is far superior to the first installment. Because this game is on the 360 there is virtually no lag time while playing. People do not disappear while your fighting them and best of all the graphics are killer. They made this game a little harder then the last one and added a lot more people to play as. There is lots of stuff that one can unlock as well as purchase. There are nine different horses, I think, and over thirty different bodyguards. In survival mode one does not just earn gold to buy stuff with but also the further one advances in this mode the more stuff is unlocked. The game gives one incentives to use all the different modes. I would recommend this game to anyone that likes killing mass crowed of people and doesn’t mind a little redundancies.

  • my new favorite game!

I love this game! going out in japan , though the point is to unify the land and stuff i love just going out and kicking ass and taking names!! this game is amazing! even though the grafix is lacking compared to newer games it definetly offers a lot of fun! i HATE video games normally! but this is full and great and i love this! totally worth the money!
