Gets Better The More You Watch It
This movie seemed really odd the first time I watched it. I wasn't sure if it was supposed to be a teen comedy or a horror film. The horror scenes are relatively few, but EXTREMELY bloody and gory. I also couldn't understand why the main character, Anita "Needy" (Amanda Seyfried) was best friends with Jennifer (Megan Fox). Jennifer is definitely NOT a nice person, even before she becomes a flesh-eating demon. Needy is smart and has a devoted boyfriend, but she's always putting Jennifer's needs first and doing exactly what Jennifer tells her. But after watching the film a second time, I realized that this is exactly the point. Needy goes to ridiculous lengths to accomodate Jennifer, until finally she realizes Jennifer is a monster and gains the strength and self-confidence to stand on ... It also features a great song, "Through The Trees." This film won't win Academy awards but it definitely grows on you. Could gain a cult following.

A really well done horror film.
Every area of this film is well done. I'm not saying that it will make your top 10, but this is a film that all involved in can be very proud of. Starting with a very good script, they built on it with very good actors, great cameras, great film, great back drops, real good characterization, lighting, ... With all of this they then hired a director who could put it all together and make a great film. This was a well paced film that delivered a very good story. I felt the F/X were appropriate but I could see some people wanting more gore and F/X. Some would, also, want a bunch of nudity but everything about this film was so good that it needed no nudity. The plot is: The world of music has become so competitive that in order to make it big you must make a sacrifice to the ... Every area of this film is well done. Here they make some false assumptions about a local girl, that they've chosen to sacrifice. As they leave for fame and glory the town, of Devil's Kettle, must now deal with the group's poorly chosen sacrifice. In this movie the story is from the view point of two best friends- both teen age girls and one being the poorly chosen sacrifice. The film, also, lets us see the changes in friendship- Which the band caused-, jealousies, manipulation, and other problems of teen age life; while never getting mired down in these problems. This is a really great horror movie that leaves you feeling it's original (And that's with the fact: is it actually possible to make an original horror movie anymore?). Whether this film is truly original, or not, it feels fresh.

Just Another Average High School Horror Movie
This movie is not all together bad, but not the best horror film I have ever seen. The plot is somewhat interesting with likeable characters to help it along the way. Megan Fox is hot as Jennifer. She was a great choice to play this part. Her "Good Girl Bad Girl" character is very watchable. Amanda Seyfried, who plays Jennifers best friend "Needy", is also very good in this movie. Also, Adam Brody (Seth Cohen From The O.C.) gives a good performance as the lead singer of a band. The movie also stars J.K. Simmons and Amy Sedaris.This movie is not all together bad, but not the best horror film I have ever seen. The plot is somewhat interesting with likeable characters to help it along the way. More comedy than Horror Movie
Megan Fox (Transformers) stars as Jennifer Check, a popular popular flag girl, desired by all the guys in school and envied by all the girls. Only she is hiding a dark secret, there is a flesh-eating demon hiding inside her body. This movie is at times very funny and is not really very scary. The script was written by Diablo Cody who also wrote Juno, directed by Karyn Kusama and it is produced by Jason Reitman.
