À propos de ce produit

Product Information

The sequel to 2000's critically acclaimed adventure game, The Longest Journey, Dreamfall initially follows the story of Zoë Castillo as she stumbles across a conspiracy that could spell the end of humanity. Yet young Zoë is not the storyline's only protagonist. The original game's April Ryan and new character Kian are also playable through multiple chapters, each offering distinct abilities and viewpoints in their respective worlds. Players will explore a futuristic version of Earth, a fantasy realm, and even the mysterious world of dreams while interacting with a wide variety of characters and solving puzzles from a third-person perspective.

Dreamfall departs from traditional adventure games in the degree of freedom afforded by the game design. Players are expected to interact with each world in multiple ways, whether it's through combat, stealth, or communication. Interpersonal dialogue can be courteous, rude, menacing, or flirtatious, depending on the situation and characters involved. The interface is also different from typical games in the genre, as the screen is largely unobstructed by icons, menus, or text. Each character has a field of vision that automatically highlights objects that can be manipulated. The entire adventure spans an estimated 20 to 30 hours of play, with multiple visits encouraged to seek out alternate endings, hidden areas, and more.

Every moment in this transaction was delightful! The seller was very quick to respond and equally quick to ship my package, which I should add they packed with care and even threw in a cute little thank-you card. I would jump on any opportunity to buy from this seller again if another best-priced item of my desire comes up on the market!

  • Outstanding Graphics and Soundtrack

Dreamfall - The long anticipated sequel to The Longest Journey - has perhaps the most spectacular graphics and soundtrack of any modern day adventure game. Brilliant locations scenery, excellent visual effects, some of the best graphics of the game characters ever seen - this game is a should-do for anyone enjoying a traditional adventure romp. Although it is not necessary, I would recommend you get a copy of The Longest Journey and play that one first if you have not already done so. For those who have already played The Longest Journey you will meet up with some "old friends" once again in Dreamfall - April Ryan, Brian Westhouse, Crow, and others enhancing the enjoyability of this game. For gamers who enjoy action and timed sequences you will find several excellent ...

  • Dreamfall: The Longest Journey

This game could have gotten an excellent, but the controls issue made that impossible. Lip-syncing concerns add to the problems. Choices made by the game maker seriously compromised the game. First the positives: It is a good third person adventure game. It is much shorter than the first game "The Longest Journey." You control the characters and control one of 4 characters. You are forced to control the chacracters in turn and are not allowed to choose a character. The game just changes the character as the story progesses. I would have liked to control April Ryan the major character of TLJ. The graphics are great and well done. You can turn down the fancy video options and the game will run great on a lower end computer. The story is good and there are alot of conversations just like ...

  • Not bad...

I was generally satisfied with this game, in the way of graphics and gameplay. The camera was a bit tricky at least for me, but it was otherwise good controls. Good music and a good storyline to draw you in, but the game cuts it way too short. It lets you know to expect a third game in the Longest journey series for sure, but it just cut things way too short. The first game surpasses this one by leaps and bounds, but i recommend this game as well as the first, if anything just to see the storyline pulled together.

  • Sequel to The Longest Journey

This game follows in the tradition and glory of the original The Longest Journey game that was one of the best adventure games made since Martian Gothic. With obvious improvements to graphics and sound the game is clearly more up to date with the current computing hardware. The story is as rich as the original and the characters are as well written and well developed as any J.R. Token story. The game play feels a bit like it is playing to a child but the story more than compensates for any negatives in the game. This game should be on anyone's shelf that enjoyed the original The Longest Journey game.

  • Worthy sequel to TLJ

If they left out the fighting sequences, I would've given this game a "5". The puzzles are more intuitive; with TLJ there was no way I could've solved any of those puzzles or sussed out where to go next. This game is better at that. I've gotten stuck a couple of times and when I referred to a walkthrough, I realized it was a solution I could've figured out for myself if I was a bit smarter. Great game, can't wait to to see the next installment of this terrific series (is two games a series?)
