Product Information

The Nintendo Game Boy Advance is powered by two AA batteries and accepts rechargeable batteries, rechargeable battery packs, and AC power through an adapter. The system operates for up to eight hours of continuous usage on a single charge. It has a 16.78 MHz ARM7TDMI CPU for its central processor and an 8 or 4 MHz Z80 coprocessor for backward compatibility. The Z80 processor automatically activates and switches to the correct MHz rating when it detects the presence of Game Boy Color or original Game Boy games upon booting of the machine. The ARM7TDMI CPU is optimized for sprites and displays up to 50 of them on the screen at a time. It has a 240x160 (HQVGA) pixel resolution with Custom 2D core 32-bit graphics, although it is also capable of displaying basic "Mode 7" style 3D in some games. Pixels are sharp and crisp and represent a full RGB color palette. The LCD screen is lit by ambient light, increasing the longevity of the batteries. The "landscape" form factor is designed for long-term comfort, with the D-pad, buttons, and shoulder buttons located for optimal ergonomics. The Advance is capable of playing thousands of games on cartridge. Due to its popularity and longevity, a large number of accessories and add-ons were introduced. The e-reader attachment enables play of classic Nintendo software on the system via data cards, and some cartoons are available via special video cartridges. Third party support is also strong, with front lighting kits and external lights being widely available. Due to the system's power, a large number of games from the NES and SNES library were also ported to the system. The graphical power of the system is equivalent to the SNES, although its 32-bit nature allows the display of more and more vibrant colors, as demonstrated on many original pieces of software developed for the system. Due to the powerful processor, it is capable of displaying full motion video at 30 frames per second, and most software runs at the same rate.

I bought this gameboy for my son when we got it it had some issues and contacted the seller and he was so helpful and offer to exchange immediately, he was very nice and answered questions promptly. Great handheld device
Great fun handheld device. It's hard to see at night or in the dark as it has no backlight. And it runs on batteries which can die quickly. But the graphics and portability is a nice aspect

good system but could be better
Its a very good system however thares a issue to game loading you might have to blow into the system and game and or pres down a litte hard but other than that it still works good after all these years thares no backlit screen and it takes two double a batteres but if you want to play in the dark buy a light acesseroy and it will let you play in dark areas althoe I bought this thing for $31 its more worth $5 but its still a good system but if you want a backlet screen get a gba sp if you want something that's the samething but don't want to blow or prese down the cart into the system or if you want a blacklet screen but less featuers go for a gbm what I mean by features is that its backwords compatable with gb,and gbc games overall good system if you like old school games and ... Seems to work perfectly
Played a little bit of the game to test it out it seems to work completely fine with no glitches and reads the cartridge fine too. Would definitely recommend especially for the value as well. The only thing I could say is there was some battery acid inside the battery compartment but that's easily cleanable.if the game doesn't read just make sure to reinsert and push it in all the way.

it's a gameboy advance, it's a blast
if you've never played a gameboy advance, go get some classics like megaman battle network, megaman zero and Kirby and the magic mirror, you'll love it. get some Duracell Quantums, or order a rechargeable battery pack mod from retromodding and you'll have really long battery life. cheap AAs burn out fast, and you might get annoyed if you've never had to deal with batteries lol
