The Cartoon Network's popular animé show returns to the DS for more 2D fighting action and an expanded cast of characters in Bleach: Dark Souls. The game follows an entirely new storyline, set between season one and two of the cartoon, in which main character Ichigo Kurosaki continues his quest to save the life of Rukia Kuchiki, the Soul Reaper from whom he gleaned his power. There are 44 playable characters from which to choose, each voiced by real actors from the show, and all the battles take place in 2D, Fatal Fury-style multi-plane arenas. There are 30 new power-up cards and crystals for players to collect, and gamers can use the stylus to access health, attack, and defense "Spirit Cards" in the lower screen. There are seven different game modes, including "Story," "Arcade," and "Versus" mode, and multiplayer options let up to four DS duelers battle via Nintendo's Wi-Fi connection, or two players battle head-to-head using only one game cartridge.

Bleach: Dark Souls
Bleach: Dark Souls is an excellent fighting game for the DS. Its a fighter where emphasis is given to combos and the executiuon of combos. What I like about Bleach is it actually has a pretty good story mode that teaches you new skills and moves as you go along. So, there is a reason to play through this fighting game's story mode and we normally can't say that about fighting games too much. The game has an online mode that works pretty well, all things considered. Some of the tasks require you to have a bit of a working knowledge of the Bleach series and previous games so that's not too cool if you had not heard of Bleach before and thought it was just something you used on your clothes.. And, as in most fighting games, once you master a few combos, the CPU is not much of a challenge any ... Bleach: Dark Souls is an excellent fighting game for the DS. Bleach: Dark Souls is an awesome game. It was a bit tricky to control at first but once you getthe hang of it, the game really starts being enjoyable. The roster of characters is quite large and there is lots of mini-games too. The Dialogue might be a bit weak but thats because they're trying to stretch the story out to give you more battles. There are many things that set this fighting game apart from the others like the cards that boost certain stats, give you abilities and take away your opponent's. There are several different difficulties to select so no matter how co-ordinated you are you can still get a challenge out of it. If your not a Bleach fan I would still recommend this game to you. 5/5 I also recommend Junp! Ultimate Superstars.Bleach: Dark Souls is an awesome game. Another amazing game for the Bleach series! Really high quality!
I'm a big Bleach fan, and I'd played the Blade of Fate and REALLY liked it; so then of course I had to get the next one! It's an AWESOME game! It's beautiful, the color is really good! It's also really challenging (sometimes in ways that are surprising) You might have to set it to easy mode.Like the Blade of Fate it is so well written, the plot is intense and engaging! It certainly lives up to its predecessor quite well! Its a really high quality game.I'm a big Bleach fan, and I'd played the Blade of Fate and REALLY liked it; so then of course I had to get the next one! It's an AWESOME game! Fun Fighting Game
First of all, this game is quite enjoyable if you like fighting style games. The animation is decent, the action is good, and the controls are fairly simple. You can play on Easy, Normal, or Hard difficulties which provides enough challenge to keep you occupied for hours. The drawback to this game is really the story mode. The events are fairly disconnected so the story is not fully comprehensible. Also, because of the way the game map is set, if you complete some events before others, you may not get the chance to play them at all until you finish the entire game. Overall, if you are looking for some action packed fun and fighting excitement, Bleach: Dark Souls would be an great addition to your DS collection.First of all, this game is quite enjoyable if you like fighting style games. Very good love it very much recommended and I love the fact that I got for cheap since I already had the game before and was looking for replacement
