Product Information

Directed by Eric Bross (STRANGER THAN FICTION), this sequel to the Disney channel original movie JOHNNY TSUNAMI introduces the sport of dirtboarding into the mix. In JOHNNY KAPAHALA: BACK ON BOARD, teenage surfing and snowboarding sensation Johnny Kapahala (Brandon Baker) returns home to Hawaii for his grandfather, Johnny Tsunami's (Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa), wedding. Johnny quickly finds out that he has a new 12-year-old uncle, Chris, the son of his grandfather's wife. Chris is part of the Dirt Devils, a dirtboarding team, and he gets Johnny involved in a conflict between local surfers and mountain boarders. More trouble ensues when the Dirt Devils and a rival shop owner want to shut down Johnny Tsunami 's surf shop.

      A wonderful family adventure with some twists thrown in.

      I had enjoyed watching the first movie, Johnny Tsunami. This is the second part to the movie of how Johnny Kapahala comes back to the Hawaiian Islands for his grandfather's wedding to be faced with a 12 year old terror that will soon be his uncle. It also shows the skills and determination it takes to perform the many diffrent sports that Johnny Kapahala is capable of: Surfing, Snowboarding, Skateboarding and Dirtboarding. A wonderful family film with a happy ending.

      Johnny Tsunami Is Back!

      I loved the first movie, and this was the perfect sequel, picking up a few years later, when Johnny was a teenager. Loved the idea that you kept the original cast.

      Great family movie

      I liked this movie because of the storyline, although the character playing Chris was much too whiny. The young characters, especially the star was true to form and the action scenes very entertaining. I decided to buy it because of the Hawaiian theme, which is where I am from.

      we bought mtn boards after this movie for the entire family 3 kids and me and the wife.. awesome sport.. Its huge in the UK
