Enigma: Rising Tide offers an alternate history where three giant factions -- the United States, Imperial Germany, and the League of Free Nations -- fought for supremacy on and under the oceans of Earth. Players take command of deck guns, launch torpedoes, and drop depth charges in furious naval combat. Submarines, destroyers, merchantmen, corvettes, and other vessels are available during the team-oriented tactical combat. Players use voice-activated commands and encrypted communiqués throughout missions assigned according to strategic concerns. Enigma's ocean physics adjust depending on the changing weather conditions.

Trying to Send Them to the Bottom... I Sink Instead
I saw this game about two years ago at a local software store, and neglected to buy it before they pulled it from the shelves. For anyone who enjoys simulations, especially submarine or destroyer combat simulations, this game offers a variety of challenging scenarios. The graphics are decent, the user interface is relatively simple, and the gameplay is fairly addictive. The only problem with this game is that the enemy AI often leaves you back after the menu screen after they throw all air and sea power at their disposal against your one ship. This is not such a large problem other than the fact that I am sure that it has discouraged many players who have endeavored to purchase the game. So, in a nutshell, if you buy it, hang in there, and eventually it does become an interesting game to ... Enigma Rising Tide: a fun game
This game puts you in command of a submarine or surface boat in a time period where three sides are trying to get into a world war. The single player on this game is simple, meaing that just a couple minutes and you will know how to command your boat. This is not a simulation where you painstakingly set up a single shot then drift away. This is an action oriented shooter. I am a submarine person, so I spent most of the time in a submarine. Killing submarines is a bit more of a challege, but it just takes soem practice with the depth charge rack and how deep to put the charges. The BEST and MOST FUN thing about this game is that you can control it almost entirely without a mouse or keyboard. With the exception of swiveling the periscope, you can play the game with a headset. This is ... "Ahead Slow" "Man Battlestations". The graphics are not wonderful, but the game will run well on most machines (I have a 2 GHz computer that is basically a dinasour) and it still works well. The exposions are actually really exciting to watch, and the smoke makes it a real challenge (if your boat is on fire). The seas feel realistic and the various conditions realistically effect the way your ship moves through the water. The AI on this game is not particularly intelligent, but on the other hand, could you rack up the impressive tonnage scores by knocing out dozens of destroyers and corvettes otherwise. This is an arcade game and you will be getting LOTS of kills, which makes it fun. The enemy merchant ships do head for the horzon when their friends start to perish. Enemy destroyer circle and try to make runs at you launching depth charges, torpedoes, and hedgehogs. Enemh submarines are actually pretty good about nailing you if you are in a surface ship at a distance. The Downside of this game is that it was marketed as an MMO, able to sail the high seas against hundreds of human players. As I understaand it, there were several lawsuits about this and that, and the small companies that tried to bring the game out, have not the inclination or the movie to finish it. While there is some bleak hope that this might arise, this only slightly takes back from a fun game. If you like naval warfare, this is fun. If you just like blowing things up, this is a game for you.

An excellent ,Well Detailed ,Graphics game,Great mutip
This is a great game with good graphics. I like you can be a battle ship or play the rule of the sub. Online play is really a lot of fun. I like to hit the F5 key after I hit the emergency surface button.And watch my sub air bubbles come out and see it in 3D under water.The graphics are really cool.The only thing I didn't like about this game was. It hangs up. However, After you go online and download the game repair patch it works just fine. But if you buy this game and don't have Internet access then...well you are out of luck. And the fact that the deck guns/cannons fire automatically instead of manually aiming them and the down loading of the patch. I would say this is a good game.This is a great game with good graphics. A Videogame for the Armchair Admiral
Many video games are out on the market that offer you, the player, to have an entire fleet at your fingertips. Enigma: Rising Tide is the epitome of such games. It offers the player a 360 degree view from the bow of the ship as opposed from an aerial view. A perfect game for the world war two enthusiast as well.
