The successful courtroom television series JUDGE JUDY first premiered in 1996 and was the inspiration behind many reality shows, such as JUDGE HATCHETT and JUDGE MATHIS. This compilation features nine episodes, where hard-nosed Judge Judy Sheindlin arbitrates small-claims cases and dispenses intransigent rulings. As with Anne Robinson in THE WEAKEST LINK, the popularity of the show is based on Judge Judy's caustic personality, as she repeatedly scolds the plaintiffs for lying or making irresponsible choices.

    Judge Judy has risen to a whole new level of excellence! This DVD features nine of Judge Judy’s most outrageous cases. Judge Judy delivers an impeccable performance, as she berates litigants for their ever-so-foolish behavior. These cases are indeed outrageous. There was a lady who was suing another lady for damages to her car. Seems simple, right? It was quite the contrary. You see, the Plaintiff’s son had taken the car out without her permission, and had taken the Defendant’s daughter along for the joy ride. Due to the Plaintiff’s son's poor judgment and pure negligence, the car spun out of control, and the other Defendant’s daughter was killed at the scene. The Plaintiff’s son walked away unscathed. The Plaintiff had the nerve to sue the mother of the girl who tragically ...

    Judy's The Boss!

    We love Judge Judy, and while we did enjoy the DVD, I was sorry that there wasn't more to it! The nine cases went by so quickly! I think the producers could have made better choices when they sifted through the various shows/seasons. I would have loved to have seen her "on fire" a bit more, tearing a few strips off the people who deserve it. I would have liked to have seen much more commentary by Judy on each of the cases that were included in this DVD - there was only a sentence or two. Judy - we love you and want to see more! Don't ever change, or hang up your robes!! Tom in Toronto

    5 STARS BRAVO JUDGE JUDY I AM GLAD YOU ARE STILL ON THE BENCH GET THIS DVD

    Judge Judy is the best Great cases enjoyed the DVD extras I will watch this DVD again. Can't wait for the next NEW DVD RELEASE OF GREAT CASES I have first two I love judge judy straight forward judgments and the fact that she is fair and can cut through the baloney testimony and get to the important issues in cases Downside dvd needed more actual cases

    She tells it like it is!!

    Since Judge Judy has always been an enjoyable past time, I thought her DVD would be a nice collectors item. There are nine cases on the DVD plus some bonus items such as two interviews from 1993 and 2005(?). The first case wasn't as funny, but each successive case was funnier and more outrageous than the last one. Judge Judys' unusual one-liner's and facial expressions were great! If you are a fan of her's, you don't want to miss out on this!

    The verdict is in: DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

    Because I work all day and sometimes through the night, my DVR plays a big part in my television experience. Aside from taping the game, I tend to enjoy the assortment of daytime trash that my job does not allow me to see regularly. When I saw the Judge Judy DVD, I jumped at the offer-BIG MISTAKE!! As much as I enjoy this type of crap, it got old very quickly. In fact, I didnt even finish watching the DVD. It was boring and predictable. There is a reason why the show runs for 30 minutes. Anything longer is overkill. The DVD runs for much longer than 30 minutes and I just lost interest. If you will check my history with EBAY, I bought and resold the item within maybe a week. If you really want to see the DVD, borrow it or rent it, otherwise you will lose out. I sold it for a few bucks less ...
