    Hacking was never so entertaining~ Very good movie~

    PLOT:"SNEAKERS " ARE a group of expert hackers who are hired to check company security SYSTEMS~ ~ and what a fun group they are~ Robert Redford has a secret past ..but now he HEADS a team of renegade hackers, Dan Ackroyd is great with GADGETS, River Phoenix is blind but an expert with "sound" known as "sneaks" when they hire for a job~ but CIA operative Sidney Poitier as a former CIA and has joined The Sneakers, 2 men claiming to be Government Agents black mail REDFORD to look for a black box~ in a covert operation~ the black box can break any computer system in the world~ so everyone wants it~ thrilling, adventure~ FUN scene stealer is Mary McDonnell as Redford ex girlfriend who gets drug into the scheme~ I GIVE THIS A SOLID 10 OUT OF 10 FOR THRILLING ...

    Beware of your recollections

    When I first saw this film years ago, I fell in love with the characters and the plot. Seeing it again was enjoyable but was a more sobering experience. The plot tends to be convoluted but the characters are most memorable. Redford is excellent but without a supporting cast of very memorable individuals, this would have been a little bit above average film.

    SNEAKERS

    I have always loved this movie. It has everything a movie needs to be truly entertaining. It is fast-paced and exciting but full of humor,too. It's also interesting in a nostalgic way. At the time it was produced most people didn't even own a computer. Everything in this movie was so high-tech for it's time it was difficult to even imagine. In retrospect it seems like everyday, average computer hacking to us now. But back then this was cutting edge. Just another reason why it is so interesting to watch. It is perfectly cast. Every character is well developed and adds an extra dimension to the story. Even the minor characters are very well thought out. Everyone I've recommended this movie to has loved it as much as I do.     Amusing and Entertaining

    Sneakers is one of my favorite movies. I love the music by Branford Marsalis, and always enjoy performances by Redford and Poitier. Had to add it to my collection. It's fun and lighthearted, which is a welcome relief from so much of the overzealous drama on the current market.

    An excellent thriller

    This movie is a great for Robert Redford fans. Not only that, it has great music, plot and twist. Also, Ben Kingsley co-stars as the man who felt betrayed to Marty (Redford) as college students pulling a bank "prank" which gets Kingsley locked up, presumably for life, but instead makes mob connections and is released. All this and government scandals and happening right in the Bay Area, mostly San Francisco. I highly recommend this movie.
