Best cookbook ever
I had the same book in the 90s but had lost it somehow. Then recently my daughter, who had moved away, was asking me for the recipe of something I used to make from that book. She was so happy I got this one on eBay, she wants to buy her own now. It is the best cookbook I ever had. Imagine, ingredients that are common and easily obtained. Recipes that are so fluid, you can mix or match meats, veggies, sauces, spices, etc. according to you tastes and what you have on hand. WoW! What a Cookbook! If you are ever at a loss as to what to make for almost any occasion then try to get a copy of a Campbell's Cookbook! I have had the original Cooking With Soup book, and when I saw this one I just HAD to get it-and boy, I was pleasantly surprised! This isn't like any other cookbook with recipes page by page-No, this cookbook lists at least three combinations of meat, a vegetable or a spice, and a cheese for each recipe, so you can create an endless set of recipes to serve your family. The book estimates that there are over 19,000 delicious mix and match recipes in here! How great is that! There are step by step directions that are easy to follow, as well as many full color illustrations and serving suggestions, with the key ingredient in all of them being the use of ... WoW! There are soups to make (of course) Appetizers, Main Courses,Vegetable Dishes, Salads and Sauces, and even Breads and Desserts! Your family will love them, and even when making the same recipe, they will never say 'Not this again' because there are so many combinations! There are even calorie and sodium guides for each combination listed, so you can be sure to serve even the most health conscious eater! Lets take one of my favorites for example-Lasagna Roll Ups: There are three meat, spice, and cheese combinations listed-all using Tomato soup as the sauce base. #1 is with Italian Sausage, Oregano Leaves, Mozzarella Cheese, and Parmesan Cheese-using Tomato Soup at 485 calories and 795mg Sodium. #2 is using ground pork, basil leaves, Longhorn and Romano cheeses and calories are 594 and sodium is 509mg, Lastly #3 combo is using ground beef, Marjoram, and Provolone and Gruyere grated cheese at 640 (depending on the grade of ground beef, of course) and 539mg Sodium. So you see, you can go through the book and find the recipes and ingredients that are best suited to you family's lifestyle. This book is so easy to follow and is so varied in menu ideas that it would be a perfect gift for the newlywed, or college student just learning to cook, or for that matter anyone of any experience who's family is tired of he same old thing and wants to expand their cooking skills! And since they all have been tested in the Campbell's Kitchens, there is no guesswork involved! They WILL work together for you and be tasty and delicious every time!

We had a back and forth going with our son about our torturing him during his childhood by making him eat various foods like beets. And Brussel sprouts. This progressed to the burning question: "Was there ever anything we cooked that you liked? That you asked for seconds on?" His response, "French bread pizza, toasted cheese sandwiches, and some chicken thing made with Cream of Mushroom Soup", which he considers a good way to introduce kids to new tastes. "Campbell's Creative Cooking with Soup" cookbook immediately went on our eBay search list. When an immaculate copy showed up, we snapped it up. When the book arrived, we checked it out for condition, which indeed was immaculate, but it was also attractive, with the iconic Campbell's soup can image used for the cover, ... A Very Useful Cookbook!
I love cookbooks, and this one is a gem. The emphasis is on easy-to-make recipes using Campbell's Soups, with a lot of flexibility due to a system where you get to choose from four soups, with various meats, herbs, etc. This is not haute cuisine, and although the recipes are reasonably healthy, I wouldn't call it health food either. This is a great cookbook for the home cook with a hungry family and limited time.I love cookbooks, and this one is a gem. The emphasis is on easy-to-make recipes using Campbell's Soups, with a lot of flexibility due to a system where you get to choose from four soups, with various meats, herbs, etc. This is not haute cuisine, and although the recipes are reasonably healthy, I wouldn't call it health food either. This is a great cookbook for the home cook with a hungry family and limited time.

Easy to follow Recipes
This is a great cookbook, with recipes written so that the cook can use what they have on hand or ingredients they prefer in any given recipe. Using the chart for each recipe as a basis, there is a wide variety of foods that can be made without much difficulty. I once went to a craft show, and some ladies were discussing a favorite recipe. I found the recipe in this book, with very slight variation from the way they gave it. I would recommend this to beginner as well as experienced cooks! There is a similar book by Campbell's, which has fewer recipes, which I also have. I prefer this one, because my favorite recipe in this book is the meatloaf, and it is not included in the other one.This is a great cookbook, with recipes written so that the cook can use what they have on hand or ingredients they prefer in any given recipe.
