Praise JESUS with some headbanging...Col. 3:23
GREAT, GREAT, GREAT band and cd. I'm a Christian who loves metal and had a metal band of my own in my past and have been looking for some metal bands who proclaim CHRIST in their music and though there are many "Christian" metal bands, a whole lot of them blur the line between secular and Christian....Living Sacrifice does not!!!! The entire album has a clear and present message of JESUS being the King of Kings and Lord of Lords without any if's, and's or but's!!! Songs like In Christ, The Power Of God, Reborn Empowered, Enthroned let you know that these guys are as serious about their faith as they are about their music before you even listen to a song. The music is an intelligently arranged, dynamically delivered mix of thrash, speed, groove, death/life metal that is extremely ... GREAT, GREAT, GREAT band and cd. The vocals are delivered with a lot of personality in that it's very heavy and gutteral but isn't inaudiable and doesn't mimic or follow status quo for bands who dive into the death/life metal genre. The riffs are brutal yet melodic, the drums are very well written and drive the cd from riff to riff and song to song, the bass is very apparent but no where near overwhelming, the solo guitar work is extraordinary and the vocals just perfect in my opinion!!!! I've been listening to metal for about 18 years and playing it for about 12 and this band/cd is everything I've grown to love about metal, complex yet catchy, brutal yet melodic, intense in places and serene in others. These guys will rock the devil right outa'ya and Praise the Lord they are out there showing the world that anything the enemy can do....JESUS does better!!!!!!!!!!!

If you are a Living Sacrifice fan this is a must have!
This covers from the very first album to when this released. It has the speed metal from there earlier years to the crushing death metal they are now known for. I especially like one of the new recordings ( In Christ )

Metal (Praising God) Music
This is the opposite of your Mercy Me, Newsboys type of worship music, which I really enjoy. But, this is a good tool to use if you want to introduce God to people who like heavy metal music. I invited the young son of a friend of mine who likes heavy metal type music to listen to it and two or three songs later, he looks at me with a puzzled look and asked, "are these guys worshiping God?" Got you! I bought it cause I wanted to listen to it too.This is the opposite of your Mercy Me, Newsboys type of worship music, which I really enjoy. Great compilation album, 3 new songs pretty good also.
Seems I have been a LS fan since Reborn was introduced. This album has a little from all the album and three new songs. The new songs are well produced, not quite as heavy as previous albums but still enough to put most into cardiac arrest. There are some older tracks that are similar to the early 80 black metal bands that just wanted to sound evil without much thought to making music. A Great Album From a Fantastic Band!
I purchased this album as a Christmas present for my nephew. Living Sacrifice was one of the forerunners on the Christian hard rock/metal scene. I like that they are a band within the genre that my nephew enjoys plus they have a great message. This is a good showcase of their talent. No negatives to speak of!!
