    Well preserved recipes

    I remembered this cookbook from the early 70s and had a handwritten recipe from it. The recipes might need little tweaks for some of the ingredients...this is almost 50 years later...but the premise is still the same. And, the illustrations are perfect. This used copy is in perfect condition

    A nice vegetarian cookbook to own.

    I like the book a lot because the recipes are unique and according to other buyer they tasted very good. I am very happy to buy it from discover-books and pay a little bit more for much better condition. I like what the author’s suggestions on how to plan a meal.

    Her gain is my gain

    I got this for a friend who lost her copy and was really missing it. In the meantime, she found one at an estate sale, so I get to keep this wonderful cookbook from the '70s. Recipes are simple, easy to understand, and I look forward to actually using this book.

    Outstanding vegetarian cookbook

    This cookbook is a replacement for my original Veg Epi that fell apart and whose pages disintegrated. I particularly recommend the corn chowder and the lentil stew. They are staples in our house. I love it. And the copy is used and in very good condition. A winner on all criteria.

    The Vegetarian Epicure by Anna Thomas (1972)

    I found this book to be an excellent source of vegetarian recipes. There is a wide variety of recipes to try. I have tried several of the recipes and have found them to be excellent. It is well written and the cooking directions are quite good. I would like to try more of the recipes. If someone is looking for a good vegetarian cookbook, I would highly recommend this one.
