Normally known for gritty, mature-themed action-adventures, the development team at Rockstar San Diego serves up this unlikely sports game, intended to translate the furious and intense action of table tennis to the Xbox 360. Designed to mimic the exciting experience of international table tennis competition, the game allows players to choose from 11 distinct characters, which vary both in appearance and abilities. These up-and-coming athletes must train, to master various shots and techniques. When they are ready for competition, they will compete across 19 venues while sporting authentic equipment and apparel from some of the top names in table tennis, including Killerspin, Adidas, Joola, and Butterfly.

    Intense ping pong

    I'm not gonna lie, I bought this game for under $10 because it was a deal and I'm a big fan of tennis video games. I was hooked on top spin for the xbox and this game is extremely similar, but on the small scale. A,B,X,Y are all different hit styles, and the game features a cool feature of counterspinning by returning a hit using the same style. The ball glows different colors to let you know whats coming, but the pace is so fast it takes some getting used to. Focus shots and short shots are also used and can throw your opponent off balance. This games graphics are incredible and online play is worth hours of fun. It gets a little repetetive just like top spin, but like I mentioned earlier its totally worth 10 bucks.     Table Tennis - Worth the Time and Money

    This title from Rockstar games is definitely different then the normal game that a consumer would think of when hearing the name "Rockstar Games". However, although it doesn't have the crime and violence of a Grand Theft Auto, Rockstar was able to splash into the Xbox 360 market with Table Tennis. This game has the ability to provide even the average gamer with hours of fun and entertainment. The online play allows users to compete in tournaments with up to a total of 8 competitors from around the world. The offline mode gives you much opportunity for challenge, but is lacking in variety. Overall, this game is well worth the money, but could have included a few more extras, such as having the ability to create your own character, or a more in depth career mode. This aside, it is ...

    The New PONG???

    Rockstar always does the unexpected or walks the edge of gaming in a way like no other company. Running down hookers, being part of a snuff film, and now ping pong. What??? This is not Rockstar's usual brand of game but it is a nice change in their unlawful schedule. Gameplay in Table Tennis is addictive and even Top Spin fans may switch sports after they play this game. Controls are easy to learn and matches never lose intensity. The graphics are top notch and you can even see the sweat drip from you and your opponent. Multiplayer battles are just as intense as the single player especially if you like to compete. But is this game the new PONG? In a way I guess you could see it as that but nothing will ever truly replace a classic. This is a fun game in a new sports genre of its own. I'm ...

    Great game for the price

    (1st review, woot!)This game is great for those times when you don't want to really get into a game. Let's say that your family's leaving to go to Grandma's house in 15 minutes. You've got nothing to do while everyone else is getting ready to go (since you're all ready, you organized person, you). What better to do than play a little table tennis? I'm not saying this is the only thing this game is good for, but that's usually how I use it. But even if you aren't going to grandma's house, this is still a fun game to just mess around with. It's satisfying to be playing against Jesper or Lu Ping and SMASH! the ball when they mess up and lob the ball over.     YOU HAVE TO LIKE TABLE TENNIS, LOL!

    Who would have ever thought that table tennis would make a great videogame or a 360 game for that matter. The gameplay is extraordinary, it almost feels like your playing the real thing. Xbox live is solid but I wish that games started modeling their rank system after halo 2's. This game is missing several features which could make it a great game. There is no create a player, and not to many things to do with the game besides one-on-one with your friends or on xbox live. Overall its worth the $40 where almost all 360 games are $60, and its a good game!
