Christiane F. DVD is Enthralling!
Amazing film. I first saw this film back in 1995 or so. Rented it and I couldn't stop watching this. Watched it quite a few times. The soundtrack is Awesome! The storyline is enthralling! I just couldn't get enough of this film and the reality of the drug world. I never watch a film based on a true story without knowing some details and facts on the real story - This film is a documentation of East Berlin and the drug culture of it's youth. It is a widely read book for European teenagers and Christiane F is alive and well with children now. The actress playing her is absolutely stunning in her naivete and looks like she walked off of the runways of present day Milan. Her youth and beauty juxtaposed with the harsh reality of Berlin's seedy heroin scene is a rather chilling portrayal.
