Leap Frog Talking Words Factory 2 Code Word Caper dvd
My son has all the Leap Frog DVDs. He was only 3 when he got the Letter Factory and watched it a lot. I then got him the other dvds. He loves to watch them and learned how to read and decode words mainly from repeatedly watching these dvds. When he was 4, his preschool teacher was so impressed he could read well and even spell the word - FACTORY! He is now 6 and can read on a 4th grade level! I know that these dvds helped him master decoding. He loves to read! I just purchased this dvd as a replacement since he still loves to sing along and watch them. I have told other parents about my son's experience and they have gone out to purchase the sets. I am a teacher and have used them as a reinforcement for decoding skills. My grand-daughter loves this DVD. She is 4 yrs. old and is spelling all kinds of words because of the great DVD's Leapfrog has. This DVD explains how words that end in a silent e causes the first vowel to say its name. It also explains two vowels side by side and other complex word conditions. 5 stars in my books. Leapfrog made everything in this DVD easy to understand. My 4 year old grand-daughter understood. I do recommend starting with Letter Factory then Talking Words Factory then Talking Words Factory 2. Fun educational dvd
Both my boys, ages 5 and 3 yrs old, both really like this leap frog code word caper dvd. They both have the handheld Leapster systems,so they recognized the characters. They have really enjoyed watching it together, AND they're learning too! I would recommend these to other parents looking for videos for their little ones to watch and be able to learn as well.

Great tool!
This is great tool for teaching long vowels, silent e's, vowel digraphs, and consonant digraphs to children. The story is entertaining, and my three-1/2-year-old has watched it over and over again. The concepts move a little faster than they do in the first Words Factory video, but I'm sure that for an older child, 4 or 5 years, it would be just perfect. Even for a younger child, the video reinforces anything the child may be learning from a parent or teacher. My son can now sound out four-letter long vowel words.
