Product Information

The hit television program EMERGENCY! was a landmark in a number of ways. Created during the early years of paramedics and emergency medical procedures, the program featured the experiences of two likable EMS men, Roy DeSoto and John Cage, as they raced around Los Angeles saving people from a variety of life-threatening situations. Assisting them in their efforts are their allies and friends in the local hospital, police, and fire departments. Created by Jack Webb, the star and producer of DRAGNET, EMERGENCY! emphasized realism and a positive view of emergency institutions, much like Webb's earlier program. In fact, it was even credited with spreading knowledge about EMS throughout the country, just as Webb intended. EMERGENCY! SEASON 2 contains each episode from the show's sophomore season.

Quality Family Programming, History in the making
This series is the defining moment of EMS in this Nation. Without the attention brought by this series, you could still have to dial full phone numbers and wait for a doctor to come by and see you, or just take your chances with getting to a Hospital. Never before, or since, has a TV show had such an impact on healthcare in America. Watch the unfolding of history when the fledgling Paramedic program was first introduced. See representations of what actual Rescues were like, and how Paramedics became front line lifesavers. The story lines also include the first rumblings of dissatisfaction at outdated and atiquated systems. This series ignited the modern EMS wildfire that swept this country and had everyone demanding better Emergency Healthcare, and rocketed this PROFESSION from barely ... But then, as a Paramedic, I might be a little biased. Quality FAMILY programming that will give you hours of viewing pleasure.

Great TV Show
Great show, even 50 years later. Stories are always engaging and the anticipation has you on the edge of the seat at times. Disc arrived in good shape, a couple of minor scratches that polished well.

Emergency Season 2
Emergency was an excellent and enlightening TV series; cast was excellent and worked well together. The 3 DVD set was in excellent condition; no problem with any of the 3 discs. I have all the series except season 5 and have enjoyed all of the shows. Season 2 arrived well packaged and in perfect condition.

Trip down memory lane!
I bought Emergency!-Season 2 for my son's 10th birthday. (He got Season 1 last year.) When he started to go "fire truck crazy", I remembered this show from when I was growing up. He LOVES it and I love the fact that I don't have to censor it! I often watch it with him and get a kick out of how much of it seems familiar,even though I haven't seen it for years (decades??). My husband and I groan over the fashion sense of the early 70's but at this point, that goes unnoticed by our son!I bought Emergency!-Season 2 for my son's 10th birthday. (He got Season 1 last year.) i used to watch it in the 70s, it was great then and is great now.
